1. David Cobb is leading in delegates

I'm no expert on Green Party matters, but I've heard that Cobb is a likely candidate for the Party. Camejo is currently in second with 13 delegates.

Fuck no, anyone who votes for Nader this time...is on their own...they are Independents, as Nader professes to be...(Nader never turned down republican cash in the last election) Let's get real...don't jump on the environmental concerned Greens.

That's why I want Bush out and I want a president that has one of the strongest (if not the strongest) legislative record on the issue in the Senate.

The Greens have the right to run as does Nader, and anyone else, but I just think it shows an incredible lack of comprehension to try to run against the only realistic possibility of removing one of the worst presidents of all time.

5. Libertarians are also running a full slate of candidates

You have nothing to fear from the Green Party. The Green Party opposes the war in Iraq and wants to bring the troops home now. The Green Party also supports a Palestinian state and wants to force Israel to return to its pre-1967 borders, including withdrawing from East Jerusalem and the Golan. The Green Party also wants to repeal PATRIOT Act in its entirety and withdraw from NAFTA. The Green Party strongly supports full equality for all GLBT people including same-sex marriage.

The majority of the delegates to the Democratic Convention will fight off any attempts to write into the platform any planks that support views similar to the ones the Green Party has endorsed. There will not be any planks calling for the immediate withdrawal of all US troops from Iraq, or calling for an immediate end of Israel's occupation of Palestinian and Syrian lands, or promising the repeal of PATRIOT and NAFTA. There will not be a plank endorsing same-sex marriage!

As you can see, these two parties are not even competing for the same voters. They are appealing to two distinct ideologies. You have nothing to worry about!

The Green Party is a useful tool to avoid self examination of their own party.They can rationalise defeats as caused by forces external to their own self interests and loyalties.

I applaud the entry into the race of those who will shout the message loud and clear, that message will be delivered by Nader and Cobb (probably) and certainly not by Kerry. The Democrats and the Republicans are Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Do you think that corporate America really cares which candidate wins?
