A Pennsylvania Primer, Part 1
We Pennsylvanians are girding our loins for what will be an epic battle. the conflict will not be between the candidates so much as the news media which will descend on us like a hawk amid a nest of pigeons. PA is strictly amateur hour: our papers in Philly have been co-opted by the RW media buyers, the TV stations are full of inane 'personalities' who make the MSNBC crew look like Murrow's Boys. Clueless and downright stupid, the "Dean" of the Philly TV folk is Larry Kane, whose autobiography is literally, The Worst Book I have Ever Read. I knew his editor and couldn't stop throwing up - inane and puerile, it is literally trash.

Our political and media infrastructure is not ready for this. More to come, but first a word from our sponsor...

*****************************************************
Fun Fact: Our federally indicted, immensely powerful Democratic State Senator, Vince Fumo, who really is the Robin Hood of Philly was eating dinner at his (very nice home in Fairmount section of Philly) Sunday night and suffered a heart attack, and wound up with angioplasty - he is still hospitalized.

The Philly Inquirer reported that he was eating dinner at his "mansion".

This is going to be most interesting.

1. Been a while since Philly had a say in primaries, I guess...
This is good. I especially love the part where they have a closed primary (the other kind being an oxymoron)

2. Part II, Harrisburg
A state capital with the media of a small town in Wyoming. Pure hicks who think rain is the top news story. Newspapers are ALL moronic and owned by RW asshats.

3. When Ridge was elected...
a guy who worked for Sen. Heinz told me that:

"These guys from Erie think that Harrisburg is Paris."
