So . . . what's the excuse for the exit polls being off by about 15 points THIS TIME?

Obama and Clinton were TIED in Ohio in the exit polls.

And then she "wins" by 15 points.

Yup, nothing to see here . . .

30. Yup, that's what Bush said
about Gore and Kerry.

Glad to hear that canard again: its grasp of statistics and the realities on the ground reassure me that that's a deep as I need to go in my political analysis.

(I am sorry to hear a Democrat saying it -- or anything Shrub said.)

And aren't exit polls done ONLY with people who voted today? A lot of Ohio voters voted before today.

9. That's not an exit poll. If you say the exit polls "don't matter" now, then why
did they matter so much when Bush stole the election in Ohio?

(b) The CNN exit polls also were consistent with a Clinton victory.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/#OHDEM

on edit: if you calculate the margin given the first set of exit poll #s (gender X candidate) you'll see the exit polls were consistent with a 55% - 45% (i.e., about a 10 %-age point) Clinton margin of victory.

Re-read my earlier post to reconcile the #s.

(c) As others have said, the final margin will likely be narrower than the current 15%.

15. Of course, anybody can post an accurate exit poll AFTER the results are already determined.
The pre-results polls showed a virtual tie.

24. those appear to be EARLY exit polls, from just small subsets of voters
not necessarily representative of the state, e.g., they could have come from a city rather than suburbs, rural, etc., or vice versa, rather than a representative mix.

exit poll results I linked -- they are only now being finalized. Now would be the time you should compare screen shots.

14. Interesting!
I posted this earlier tonight:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4887902

and was assured by some Ohioans that things are greatly improved there.

HMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

Our country is paying big time for flaws in Ohio and Florida's ability to count the votes properly. Other states may also be guilty of fraud, but these two are the poster boys for our country. I'll always be skeptical of results in these two states.

How does that saying go? "Fool, me once...shame on you! Fool me twice..........."

Exit polls have been consistently off in states with large Hispanic populations.

They were wrong in NM, AZ and now TX.

Ohio is just a fucked up state. There is no explanation for it.
