9. Nope
"For the good of the party" = "for the good of your candidate, Obama."

I'm tired of this "for the good of the party" stuff.

Let 'em duke it out awhile longer.

Unless you believe she can really pull off 60%+ wins in every single remaining state.

39. Ok, then what is your math?
Just give me your answers to these questions:

How many delegates are up for grabs in the remaining states?
What is Obama's current delegate lead?
By what percentage does Hillary have to win those remaining states to equal Obama's delegate lead?

20. Nope, they don't
and they wont. Hillary will not come close to the margin she needed to win Texas by in order to significantly close the delegate count. After today, she probably doesn't win any other states except PA. That wont stop her supporters from cheering about the fact that she's won 3 of 15 states since Super Tuesday (assuming she wins Texas...and I think she will, by 2-5%).

Hillary Clinton. Bad for Math. Bad for America.

31. sigh. I voted for Clinton. I'm not convinced Obama is the better
candidate.

BUT. Clinton has virtually no chance for the nomination. Especially if she can't pull it out in Texas.

For the good of the party? Well, that's how it's often put.

Here's my take.

The longer Clinton stays in, the longer she will be engaged in negative campaigning against the party's eventual nominee. The longer that happens, the harder it will be for many Clinton supporters to support Obama in November, and the more Clinton does McCain's job of tearing down Obama.

For the best chance in November, Clinton should drop out before her attacks on Obama cripple our chances of a strong showing against McCain.

48. you're assuming that Obama-Clinton is predictive of Obama-McCain
I don't necessarily think that holds.

However, the results in OH do lead one to think that Obama will need to focus heavily on analyzing what caused that and how to best address it. FL is potentially a different matter. The fact that Dems didn't campaign there for the primary mean to me that the results aren't necessarily indicative of what they would have been had they campaigned there. For instance, I've heard that Obama has tended to poll better in a state after making public appearances. In other words, when people get to see him up close, they like what they see. Floridians didn't get that chance. So, I don't consider Clinton's win there necessarily an accurate picture. Same with Michigan, for the same reason.

The numbers don't add up for her.
She has now thrown the kitchen sink at him and used the fear card. What else does she have left? He has more money and plenty of time to now counter her Rovian tactics towards him.

and that we'd lose in the general election. He's right of course, if she is the nominee, we will lose in November, no doubt about it. Why she's already endorsed John McCain and don't think that little sound bite won't come back and bite her in the ass.
