Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 03:47 PM by seabeyond
it was interesting in some regards, my voting experience in amarillo texas. ultra conservative, religious belt. more voting dem than what i thought. and book by cover really was relevent today seeing who was holding a clinton sign. older, white, cowboy like male proudly holding a clinton sign. that could get one called girlie man in this area. i went in to vote for obama, but was so impressed with the man i had to go over and say hi, good job.... i was impressed. he was happy to have some to chat with that was democrat even though we were both voting different people, we were able to be repsectful and appreciative of the other

also.....

2 white areas tons of hillary sign. no obama signs. i was so disappointed to see no obama signs, and surprised cause i must have had a good 13-15 calls from them and only two from hillary people. went thru a black neighborhood, tons of obama and one hillary.

i dont like that.

gonna have to work on the democrats here in town during election, whomever wins.

2. It's sad that the party that tries to champion equality may be split because of it.
America has a LONG way to go.

6. It was by design
the MSM chose these 2 candidates for us...to ultimately cause a rift in the party.
It is sad because I feel we WILL have a split in the party between young and old, male and female, and even along racial lines.
It is sad because if only one of these candidates were in there...we'd have had a chance to prove how far we have come.
Instead it set us back 30 years.

16. From the start we only had two candidates
during the debates, during the press coverage, etc.
Obama and Clinton had unfettered access to the airwaves getting name recognition which was key.
We know who owns the airwaves...so we pretty much know WHY they did this.
Look at this mess. Our party is left with a pretty deep divide that won't heal anytime soon.

3. Just letting ya know
that it was really hard for my daughter and I to even get a bumper sticker in our area of Texas, let alone any signs.

They are just really hard to come by from what Ive been told!

5. What's Obama doing with all of the money you folks are sending in
if he can't even provide enough signs. I think you've been snookered. lol

4. I had 9 calls from Hillary and 0 from obama
Most were from the Austin area...but none in these parts.
I've not seen one obama sign or bumpersticker.
I have only seen a few Hillary signs and bumperstickers.
Mostly Ron Paul--billboards, yard signs, bumperstickers.

I haven't gone to vote yet. Was thinking about wandering that way in a bit.
But...my friend...it won't be to vote for obama.;)

15. doesnt have to be for obama, i dont care. huge ass hillary sign at end of my street
this street is a funny all in itself. a main street for the neighborhood. i have like 8-10 dems, gays and nun (catholic minority in this area) all living on MY street. the only dems, gays and nuns in town, lol lol and we all picked this street. k.... that is an exaggeration, but to live in such a conservative place and end up with this, it is funny

but

i have this huge ass neat looking hillary sig at end of street. had already voted, chatted with hillary man with my niece. she knows i am for obama. see the nifty hillary sign and i am.... oooooh look, lookie, isnt that neat. look at that sign

clearly not my person yet.... i LOVED seeing democrat, hillary, female, strong, bold, loud.

my friend

lol

and hugs

18. Obviously, you haven't learned anything from GD:P.
The proper response would have been to kick him in the nuts and tear up his sign. Same thing if he was an Obama supporter and you supported Hillary.

:sarcasm:

20. Well, good for him
You're right. It takes a lot of nerve for a West Texas cowboy to hold a Hillary sign.

Are you going to caucus?
