3/2/08 Hillary +16 in Ohio, Columbus Dispatch

I apologize if this is a dupe. I just heard it on the radio.

I understand that this poll was by mail. While it may not represent a cross section of voters, it may reflect a cross-section of really motivated voters. She is especially strong among declared Democrats.

So take heart. The plus-sized-but-still-attractive operatic singer has not started warming up yet. Frankly, I consider this primary in part to be a referendum on the manager model of president versus the inspirational and possibly imperial model of the presidency.

Oddly, these same folks think O has a better chance in the fall against McC. They were not stating a preference here, but only a prediction.

Also, received two items of "literature" (the term for the printed crap that gets mailed or stuck in our doors) for HC, none for O. One was completely positive and ostensibly sent as a message from Gov. Strickland. The second was critcal of O.

Here's the link.

25. Ya got that right!
The Cincy Enquire started on us early. Trying to convince us that Hill was gonna be beat by "whoever" they nominated.

Then they endorsed Obama.

They have the goods on Barack... and they are waiting, just waiting... to spring 'em on us.

3. About 75% of the poll was conducted to voters above the age of 60

That tells you all you need to know about the poll. It's been debunked over the last day.

15. And it states only among Democrats
And that its 9% not 16%. It is kind of difficult to take this poll seriously.

... it might be a different kettle of fish.

Clinton leads by an average of about 5 points when the newest surveys are combined. But those results range from a 12-point margin from Suffolk University to a 2-point edge for Sen. Barack Obama in the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby assessment.

The final Dispatch Poll showed Clinton leading by high single digits if only registered Democrats are included.

The Ohio Poll, conducted by the University of Cincinnati’s Institute for Policy Research, this morning has Clinton leading by 9 points.

Clinton’s lead has shrunk to 4 points in a new Quinnipiac Poll. She essentially is losing a point a day to Obama in the Connecticut university’s survey. Clinton was up by 21 points Feb. 14 and 11 points a week ago.

As a side note, how does citing Columbus Dispatch with the date constitute less proof than a website link?

I'm going to use that phrase of yours:
"The plus-sized-but-still-attractive operatic singer has not started warming up yet."

Too good.

A mailed in poll is a voluntary response poll, and therefore completely biased. :)
