Hillary Will Dropout Wednesday
At this point, it's a numbers game.

Even if she wins Ohio and Rhode Island, but loses Texas and Vermont, she still won't have the necessary delegates to catch Barack Obama and her threats of legal action against the DNC (how Rovian) to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates, is going nowhere fast.

After Tuesday, it will be back to the senate for Mrs. Clinton and the Democrats will have a nominee and his name is Barack Obama!

43. We are just tired of fighting in a bout where a TKO should have been called rounds ago
It is a wast of resources that could be aimed at McCain instead.

We have passed the point where Hillary can win this fairly.
Any other move she has will result in turmoil.

You Hillarites should be coming to terms and preparing to come together as a Party.
Instead you are digging more trenches and stringing up barbed wire.

I am... sorry... to be the one to break it to you. But, hmm...this is difficult to say.... the campaign didn't make it... Due to injuries sustained in Wisconsin and Maine... there... there was nothing the strategists could do... I know you might be feeling angry and depressed. But we have people here to help you through your grief.

4. From The Left speaks truth.
It's so late in the game that Obama would have to eat a baby on live TV to lose at this point.

If Clinton loses either Texas or Ohio, it's over. For that matter, if Clinton doesn't win both Texas and Ohio by a 25-30 point margin, she won't catch up to Obama in the delegate counts. And going by the numbers, neither Vermont nor Rhode Island have enough delegates to affect the counts significantly.

And if she doesn't catch up in pledged delegates, the supers are going to move to Obama en masse.

The fat lady sings on Tuesday Night. Clinton will be forced to admit it on Wednesday.

40. That's something I don't get.
There is no question whatsoever that Obama is the front runner. I'll go so far to say that at this point, and if Obama wins Texas and Ohio, it's pretty much over. The momentum is clearly on Obama's side and Hillary has a very tough road ahead.

So, given all of that...why are some of the Obama supporters such poor winners? Some of them seem to go out of their way to be as nasty as possible towards the Hillary supporters here. Why?

9. Obama does not have to win TX OR OH....all he needs to do is keep it close
Hillary needs 60%+ in both to have a CHANCE at catching up with Obama's 150 pledged delegate lead. Actually she needs more than that in ALL the remaining states! If she doesn't at least get 60% in TX AND OH, she will need even higher percentages in the remaining states as the number of contests gets smaller, and some of them are in Obama territory.

She will continue her race, however. Her only hope of actually getting the nomination at this point would not be pledged delegates or popular vote. She will have to hope she can "convince" enough super delegates to support her anyway. EVEN IF SHE PULLS THIS OFF....this would weaken/split the party and diminish our likelihood of success in November. It would have about the same effect as the Convention of 68...

31. You ought to be happy!
The faster she exits the better chance she has in 2012. The longer she stays.. the more damage she does to her political future.

She has LOST! Even if she wins BIG in Texas she will have to wait a month before the next BIG state. And she will have to deal with states in Obama territory. A whole MONTH like the last week we have seen of her meltdown. Such a time to give will destroy her political future beyond all chance of recovery.

And even if she SOMEHOW pulls off the nomination voters will have grown so tired of this the democrats will have lost every advantage they had this year against the republicans. And there will be little time to convince them otherwise!

She needs to exit now rather than let Texas and Ohio do more damage. However if she wants to see how those states think she can go ahead and take more days of damage.

If she is in New York, it's over. If she is in DC, it's over. If she is somewhere else, the race continues.

My guess is that she will be flying to New York on Tuesday night.

30. Hillary's problem is that she wasn't prepared for the primary season to
continue beyond ST. When it did she was caught flat-footed, which allowed Obama to rack up some huge victories. If she had been competitive in all the post-ST states, she wouldn't need blow-out victories on Tuesday to remain viable. Unfortunately for her, her lack of preparedness post-ST allowed Obama to run up not only the pledged delegate count, but the popular vote count as well.

The only way I see her remaining viable beyond Tuesday is if she wins TX and OH decisively. How long it takes her to come to terms with reality is anyone's guess, so I'll make no prediction about how long she'll try and stay in the race, regardless of how Tuesday plays out.

The a lot of superdelegates will drop Hillary like a hot potato if see looses Texas. There will be a mass exodus from the Clinton camp to migrate over to Obama. That will eliminate her superdelegate lead and destroy her chances of ever gaining the nomination.
