I mean after this recent string of shitstorms for W.
the medicare bill pricetag switch, Clark's bombshell's, several stupid and insensitive remarks by Bush....I have to think his "popularity" will take a big his over the last 10 days.


I ran into a Vietnam vet I know a couple of days ago. He is an artist who does great charcoal etc. drawings of Vietnam scenes and he is, in a way, still carrying a burden. We're not real close but I consider him a friend. I did have the impresson that he was fairly conservative, and in fact he may be....but:
I said "What's your take on Bush these days?"
"Well, he's got his head up his ass," my friend replied. Then he launched into a 10-minute compendium of Bush's most recent fuckups. The guy just despises W. I do hope he is typical of those guys...
