LOL! Anybody watching Keith Olbermann?
He had a piece on about some bus the Pukes are using to register young voters, preferably Repub. Problem is they only got a handful of interested kids. And the one MSNBC interviewed said he was registering to vote so he could get bush* out! :D

2. Probably not. Interesting how little interest they're generating
among 'young Republicans' though.

The rig is part of the GOP's effort to register 3 million new voters by Election Day and to bolster support for President Bush over his Democratic rival, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry. Some 57 million Americans of voting age are not registered.

"If we can register new voters, bring 18-, 19-, 20-year-olds into the Republican Party, maybe they'll stay there a whole lifetime," Gillespie said. "It's worth a shot."

But on Thursday, in largely Democratic New York City, the Republicans appeared to be having a tough time convincing young people to register to vote and, when they did succeed, to register Republican.

"I think it's a good time to vote because we need to get Bush out of office," said 34-year-old Theo Wargo, who took the opportunity presented by the GOP to register as a Democrat. "If I was ever going to register to vote this was the perfect spot at the perfect time."

Ah yes, the short lifetime of a young republican, suited up with used bloody fatigues sans body armor, fresh from King George's 2005 draft. I'm sure some liberated Iraqi will see the poor bastard as "worth a shot" as well Ed.

But you will be sitting in your War Room, counting your Halliburton kickbacks, smoking a Cuban with Chief Justice Fat Tony Scalia and laughing your twisted ass off.

9. I was just going to post it.
NEVER TRUST A REPUKE!

It's illegal to favor one party over another when registering new voters.

But I doubt the whore media would be interested in the ample proof that probably abounds that the repukes are STILL doing the dirty work.

The Key is: If you don't receive a "new voter register confirmation" card in the mail soon, they've tossed your card.

Only register with a dem organization if you want to be sure your form is sent in - or do it yourself.

6. Just curious are we doing anything
like this? It may be smart to do it in places like Fl. Especially around the country at historical black colleges.

10. We are, we have been.
It's just not widely known.

I've been manning booths at non-related functions, like street fairs and other "fun" events ever since before the selection.

And I along with all the other dems I've worked with, make sure the dem, as well as the, ughhhh, repuke, forms are properly filled out and sent in.

11. How are things going?
What's the ratio of Dem vs. Rep registrations that you've been seeing?

Thank you for volunteering in this way! You are a true Patriot.

13. As I've said in other posts - it remains fluid.
That is, the demographics is constantly changing due to the large influx and turn-over of the population in booming Las Vegas and Clarke County.

Right now, the latest is that the repukes have a slight edge in registration numbers, and the idiot-in-chief is leading Kerry by about 10 points.

14. Holy Moly. But wasn't NV really really close in 2000? What
would account for shrubco being up 10% now? Is LV one of the few areas thriving under shrubco?

12. Absolutely
However, most of our college efforts are on "hold" now. Students are starting to gear up for finals this time of year. Strenuous college work will start in the fall.
