Obama Gore '08
Someone mentioned this on Ed Schultz radio program today. Talk about a dream ticket! The caller suggested Al Gore could run for Pres in 2016. Obviously Al brings a ton of experience to the ticket plus the whole environmental issue is brought to the forefront with a known world leader. This would be Change on steroids (the good kind).

1. Nope, Gore wouldn't be anybody's VP again at this point.

2. Al Gore was already vice president

Don't you remember?

Why would he take the job again? And why would he take a job behind a more less experienced Barack Obama?

3. I don't think Obama would take him.
Gore provides way, WAY too much gravitas. Especially for a guy so young, he'd wind up getting swallowed whole by his own VP. Not to say Gore would do such a thing intentionally, but he's a guy that could easily win the election in his own right, if he had chosen to run. That's a tough shadow for Obama, which is why he wouldn't do it.

I'd certainly love any combination of Obama and Gore, but practically speaking, it could only work with Gore as the top name.

I agree that Gore wouldn't take VP again, but Obama wouldn't get swallowed and be in Gore's shadow
this is a guy who can motivate millions of people and has proven it in this campaign.

7. Exactly

My very, very, very first candidate choice. I don't blame him, though. I understand his quip about being a "recovering politician."

9. If Obama gave him carte blanche to push the global warming agenda
would you still be so against it? I'm not looking at this as Gore being subservient to Obama, I look at it as something that would be immensely great for our nation. It won't happen, but it is interesting to think about, IMO.

11. Gore said he wouldn't do VP again.
But I wonder if he'd be willing to take a cabinet position. Maybe elevate the EPA to a cabinet level agency and make Gore the EPA Administrator.

He'd do a hell of a lot of good in that position.
