can anyone help me answer this JK email ?

Broadly, Kerry's alleged treason falls into two categories: (1) his post-Vietnam speech, conduct and associations (e. g., his fake discarding of medals, his false and defamatory congressional testimony about alleged atrocities, his organizing of and participation in the Winter Soldier Investigation and Dewey Canyon III), and (2) his official Senate speech, conduct and voting (e. g., his repeated condemnation of the United States role in Vietnam, his handling of the POW/MIA investigation, his considerable efforts to normalize relations with the Communist government of Vietnam).

Big diff between that and dissent. Dissent is disagreement. If he lied at the congressional hearings then he is at least a perjurer and maybe he committed treason. If he told the truth, then he was derelict of his duties as a Naval officer. He had a duty and responsibility to stop any atrocities and/or cause the perpetrators to be prosecuted. He did neither because either he was too yellow to confront the bad guys or he was a participant. In either case he is a criminal and should have been court-martialed.

He morally and emotionally unfit for anything other than what he has been to this point in his life - a gigolo, a liar and an ineffective legislator. The only thing he can be counted on is to do what Kennedy says. He shows no other abilities or skills

1. Well the burden should be on them to prove their assertions
Kerry never SAID he was tossing his own dog tags.

Perhaps the poster never heard of Lt William Calley re: atrocities
McCain has already abcked Kerry on the POW investigations and those that claim they deliberately left POWS in Viet Nam without any proof are simply playing a MEAN HOAX on the surviving family members of POWS/MIA's.

Therefore all the things this person claims are false and Kerry voted for the war resolution and Kennedy voted against it so how does this uninformed nincompoop explain that?

2. I don't think it is worth answering, nothing you say can convince this guy
He apparently gets his information from Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and other right-wing nuts.

Someone repeating and believing those kind of lies can't be helped. He seems that he has a serious mental health issue.

He wasn't fully aware of the extent of atrocities until after he was out of the Navy, then he testified truthfully as to what was related to him by others. That made up the bulk of his testimony. The only "atrocity" he took part in was having the bad luck to be in a certain place when it was declared a free-fire zone. Standing order in a free-fire zone is basically if it moves and it isn't American, shoot it. It's derelict to not follow the order. When the FFZ is declared those declaring it should first be reasonably sure that nothing but the enemy will be there and/or stirring. They were far too free (no pun intended) with this order. Kerry testified to that.

5. He was right. We were wrong and a lot of Americans died.
Kerry was trying his best to save American lives.

8. How I answer them
My answer to anything that slanders Senator Kerry related to Vietnam is that I find it repulsive that anyone would stoop so low as to smear a soldier who served his country, particularly in a war zone. The country isn't stupid. We all know exactly what happened in Vietnam. We all know many Vietnam veterans protested the war. The war is over and every soldier who answered his country's call to serve should be honored. It is time those who served receive at least as much honor and respect as those who "had other priorities". It is time to simply say, welcome home brothers, we're glad you're here.
