Did you mean endorse an independent thinking candidate?

6. When Bloomberg says "independent thinking candidate", my guess is Obama.
Bloomy is really a (very) rich dem who switched to rep to get the mayoralty, as I see it.

Doesn't seem to me he likes the bushies very much at all. So calling McCain, who has cravenly pandered to them neocon nutjobs, independent doesn't seem to fit. I think it will lean much more towards Barack.

10. Yeah, I don't think Nader is really Bloomberg's cup of tea.
A pragmatic-minded businessman worth several billion dollars probablyt won't endorse a ideologically fixated faux-populist grandstander, IMHO. (Sorry, just had to get a dig in at Ralphie.)

8. It's in Thursday's NYT.

No endorsement now, but if a candidate has ideas that mesh with Bloomberg's thinking, he could endorse and support later.

9. Is there a way for Bloomberg to finance someone elses independent run?
