Hypothetical: Dem Party candidate. Please read before voting.
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 06:13 PM by SendTheGOPPacking
This is only hypothetical and also highly unlikely. This is meant to test what is more important to people, getting Bush out of office or putting a 3rd Party in office, so here goes the hypothetical question:

It's October 1, 2004. A Dem Party candidate running on a progressive platform that is anti-war takes on steam and is currently polling at ~38-42%. Looking at the electoral map, s/he stands the best chance of defeating Bush by probably taking more than 50% of the Electoral College. Bush is also polling at ~38-42%, but doesn't look like he can break the 50% margin on electoral votes although it's "too close to call". The Electoral College is once again a virtual tie. Nader is in extremely poor shape, looking to only take 3% of the vote nationwide.

How do you vote?

edit: My vote is for the Dem candidate.

4. The point is ....
There is another post like this in the reverse for the 3rd Party, and they obviously didn't feel the same way in 2000 when they had the chance to give us Gore instead of Bush.

That razor cuts both ways.
