1. Yes. I have faith.
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 05:38 PM by Zynx
I also objectively think that Bush is in serious trouble.

2. I say yes, and not just because it's what I want
Bush has no positive accomplishments on which to campaign. His only message seems to be, "vote for me or John Kerry will let terrorists kill you."

He's a jonny one note and that note has gotten sour.

7. I hope so....
but in my opinion it is all about whether Clarke's criticsm sticks. Kerry ain't strong enough to win it if Bush doesn't have a nasty scandal on his hands.

just kidding :)

I hope your intimation is correct, though. This country needs another Dem landslide.

9. Absolute Proof that Kerry will win:
Dick Morris has predicted a Bush landslide. Since Morris' toe-sucking scandal, he has made many electoral predictions. To my knowledge, not one has been correct.

11. YES!
I just can't wait to see the Chimps face when he gives his last speach from the white house lawn, with Kerry moving furniture into the white house in the background.

25. That is proof that we will win.
He has made absolutely horrible predictions over the years like in 2000 when he predicted Bush would win New Jersey or in 2002 when he predicted that the Democrats would win control of Congress two weeks before the election.

Rove may do another "terrorist" strike and 'Murcans will vote for their "commander in chief".

16. Maybe yes, maybe no...
I think he can win if he sticks to the issues. And stops rebuffing foreign leaders!

The whole world is watching this campaign and election. Now, more than ever. Many, if not most, foreign countries are pissed off enough at Bush and have probably breathed a sigh of relief that Kerry is a lot more intelligent and easier to work with. But - for that reason, he should tread carefully before dissing them. I've been on this board every night and for the past 3 nights, the hottest topic has been Kerry's treatment of foreign leaders who are stating their support for him.

People are pretty pissed off. When they see these leaders attempting to extend some goodwill (especially after the US squandered what they had after 911) and Kerry doesn't respond in a cordial manner, people feel that the goodwill will never be recovered and that they will be getting Bush-lite if they vote for him.

So - not a good idea to anger your base of voters either. The Dems aren't so solid yet that they can afford to fool around with the voter base.

Just a neighbourly opinion.

17. I voted yes, I'm trying to stay as positive
as possible. This campaign is going to be real ugly (if it isn't enough already) so I feel Kerry's support as well as the Shrub's will Flip-Flop for many of the months to come and I bet we will see a lot of these polls and stats about each canddiates support. I am trying to remain calm and rational and hope that people come to their senses and see how the BFEE and All the "Shrub's" Men are dirty birds and vote him the hell off the island!

Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 10:02 PM by Dr Fate
Strictly on the principle that we cant rest- we have to fight like we are behind the whole time.

It is going to be VERY close, one way or another- no landslides...

19. Maybe.
I'm cautiously optimistic with the emphasis on cautious at this time.

I need to get a better feel for how he will handle the national campaign before I can weigh in anymore strongly than that.

20. A big maybe
It depends on the economy, the NAder/Camejo factor, and how much Bush's scandals bring him down.

26. Still Bush's election to lose
There are those who seem inspired by Kerry but I'm not among them. Now, as then, my inspiration is ABB and I continue to wish we had a stronger candidate in the field than our prospective nominee.

Still, the arrogance and odd incompetence of the BushCo regime gives me hope. Even a third string team can beat the champs if the champs operate the way the chimp does. Just the way in which they lit out after Clarke this week is revealing of just how nervous they are that the American people will begin to see that the Emperor has no clothes.

Jon Stewart isn't the only newsman to point out the coordinated manner in which the BushCo cabal responded to Clarke's comments (or maybe "didn't respond" would be more accurate). He was just the funniest.

Off hand, I think most professional comedians are hoping for a BushCo victory in November. There is no end to the jokes you can make about "incurious George" and "Dick Halliburton". There is very little about Kerry that is humorous at all.
