Hillary must tear into Obama at the debate
If HIllary plays nice again then I consider her to have accepted defeat. Hillary is on the brink and must do something special, remember the debate a few weeks ago that was a scorcher and they were attacking each other left and right? Hillary must go into that mode to have any chance at all.

Hillary, show me you can talk tough not only in press conferences but straight to Obama's face on national tv!

Take him down and use the strongest language possible. Say he is so inexperinced and that he is not fit to be president, that he can give pretty speeches but has a hollowness inside.

Otherwise, I think Hillary has given up most likely if she doesn't attack hard.

What will cut it is if she differentiates herself strongly from Obama, issue by issue

My view is if either candidate is too personal against their opponent, it will hurt them

She must get back on her message...forget about him, ignore him if she must. Show that he is an empty suit...ignore the obvious. If she raises her voice or anything else it will look like desperation. Be calm, smooth and smile like a Mofo..seriously, Obama is an empty to suit tomost who listen. The lemmings and Obami kids are the only ones clammering for him.

34. Or maybe she should extend her remarks from the last debate
about what an honor it was to be sitting next to Obama and debating him. Then she could state, without attacking, why she feels she's the better candidate, and keep hammering at that through the whole debate.

I just don't think a full-on attack strategy will work for her. IMO it turns off many voters.

35. These Are My Quick Thoughts On Tonight:
Hillary has to attack, but tactfully. Though tactfully, they must be strong. She must do everything she can to show WHY she's better than he is, while cutting him down to size and not looking bratty or bitter in the process. It's the only shot she has.

Now I like this approach for two reasons as it relates to my thoughts of the primaries:

1. If she does it and does it well, but Obama holds his ground and proves he can hang in there with the best of them, he would've solidly proven himself to me and shown that when it counts, when it's REAL, that he's real too. That would be a huge bonus for me if he passes that test, since as it stands right now it's all but a certainty that he will be the nominee. I want him to be more tested prior to that occurring, and tonight is the perfect night for it.

2. If Obama FAILS that test, it's very important that we know that now. This works out for Hillary in several ways. The obvious would be that it would hopefully give her a bump in the polls and get her comfortably back in the race to some degree. But the second yet to be spoken reason, would be that if Obama falters and can't handle it, while she presents herself and strong and capable, the superdelegates will have a whole lot to think about before the convention. If she can expose him as truly not yet being ready to handle the big leagues, I think she has a shot of them doing what's best for the party and as a party, pushing for her nomination. This is a longshot, but if that sort of process was to occur, tonight would be the night that exposed it as potentially necessary.

So in the end, I'm quite looking forward to tonight. I think we're gonna see her give it her best shot, and we'll either see Obama shine which would be a GREAT thing, or we will see him falter which would still give us an opportunity to think long and hard about whether he in fact COULD handle the RW attack machine that he will face in the GE. It's a huge test for both of them, and I look quite forward to seeing how it unfolds.

My bet? My bet's on Obama. I think she's gonna look really good, but I think Obama will handle himself well, show how far he's come, and in the end of it prove himself to be quite the worthy opponent. If that occurs, then I will officially consider myself 100% in support of his nomination.

9 pm can't get here soon enough for me!

43. Nope.
What she needs to do is IGNORE Obama and do what she does best.

Rattle off policy and her in depth knowledge of the issues like a machine gun.

And she needs to be smiling when she does it --she lights up the most when she is talking ISSUES.

She clearly has a love of that --and it is her most authentic.

What she needs to convey is what she is the best at conveying.

She truly cares about people and the problems that confront them at the most minute level.

That's Hillary at her best and brightest, and Obama doesn't have THAT. He cares yes -- Not in the same way. (or at least that doesn't capture on camera)

I hope she tears into him with everything she's got. If he handles it with his usual aplomb, it should put to rest any fears that he's "not tough enough." And she will look like a fool.

I don't see how she has any choice but to attack, not after her vitriol this weekend. I don't think she has the guts to be as aggressive or scornful to his face, but playing nicey-nice again is going to look soooo phoney this time around.
