Which of them WANTS it more?
These days, it feels like this primary will NEVER END. That maybe a bit of hyperbole, but I really can't imagine this continuing all the way up until the convention, no matter what happens in one week's time. It's only been 1.5 months since Iowa, and already it feels like we've been watching the Obama/Clinton slugfest play out for 2 years or so.

IMO, in the end, this will all come down to who has the energy, stamina, and chutzpah to make it all the way to finish line without self-destructing. In short, it's about who really wants the thankless job of uniting these forever-bickering Democrats and leading them in battle against both a crusty war hero and a stubborn spoiler.

So once again, I ask--who do you think wants the nomination the most?

(I'll post my own opinion if I get enough responses.)

1. They both want it a lot. The question is, who deserves it considering
how their campaign was run vs. issues. At least for me it is. Oh, and also, who do people trust more?

3. Tough question
Hillary seems to feel like she has spent more time working at it. I believe she thinks she deserves it more and is almost stunned that Barack has challenged her.

Barack on the other hand seems to be working smarter at it. I think he is very deeply committed to change.

4. Hillary Clinton, because she showed she could survive all that the media

and the right threw at her as First Lady (and beforehand, back in Atkansas) and go right out and run for the Senate and win. The GOP opposed her strongly in NY but she won. She also survived her husband's infidelities and the humiliation of finding out she had defended him when he'd lied to her so she's been tested in many ways.
She's been belittled by the media ever since she announced her candidacy, in very sexist terms.

Obama evidently wants to be president but what has he survived, how has he been tested? His father abandoned his mom and him, which is tough but has happened to lots of kids, and he didn't grow up in poverty as many kids do when dad leaves. He got elected to the Senate with essentially no opposition. The GOP brought in Alan Keyes from out of state to run against him, and even Keyes didn't take his run seriously. Obama's gotten praise from the media so far, though that will end if he becomes the nominee.

The media will in effect campaign for McCain and against the Democrat.

Bottom line: Hillary Clinton can beat John McCain. She's tough enough and focused enough.
