Olbermann is Doing the Stages of Grief for Clinton Campaign and Maggie Williams Story
This is not shaping up to be a good night for Hillary on Countdown. Heads up.

So I appreciate the ongoing notes of the show. It's sort of a DU tradition for people to do this for those who are at work and can't watch. I'm benefiting tonight.

Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 09:37 PM by Drunken Irishman
He actually looked deflated because Clinton lost. You could see it in his face and hear it in his words, he was pulling for Clinton to win Iowa and it didn't happen. After South Carolina, something changed and he woke up to her campaign style.

48. it was the fearmongering
The voting for Obama is a roll of the dice, the vote for me or you're going to die rhetoric of Clinton that turned KO off.

He's mentioned it at least 3 times, and if he's going to have special commentaries about Bush doing it, it would be hypocritical of him to not say at least something about Hillary.

There's no way KO was for Obama pre Iowa. He had John & Elizabeth Edwards on multiple times and praised them every time.

30. It bothers me just a little bit
all the ripe evidence of the inability of the typical HRC booster to think lucidly, to wit, "dates a woman young enough to be his daughter" + "rampant sexist commentary" + "he is anti-Hillary" is a cute way of tying three unrelated things together to = one big fat logical fallacy - and an ad hominem one to boot.

What's up with that? Is it truly all your side's got left?

Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 09:29 PM by Mystery2Me
Hello? He dates a woman young enough to be his daughter! That's not a guy who is likely to really and truly respect women and I've heard him make numerous sexist and at times very hostile comments about women on his show. Can't say I'm a fan anymore like I once was.

But he's right about Hillary although I'm sure he derives extra satisfaction out of bashing her because you know, she IS a woman. And an older one at that. A guy like that isn't likely to value anyone over a certain age.

At TNR’s The Plank, Jason Zengerle is none too fond of Drudge either: “hile I don’t think Hillary should drop out before Texas and Ohio, her withdrawal would mean that if the GOP wanted to smear Obama, they’d have to do it without hiding behind her.”

He sure doesn't have any problem going after the Bush administration and other legislators over some of the most egregious actions against the people of the United States. GE doesn't have a problem with that even though they make billions with their military industrial ties.

So what are you saying exactly?

53. From this Link: Ire Straights.. (excellent summary of the Clinton Weekend Shamapalooza)
With wild-eyed anger in Cincinnati on Saturday...And then condescending and cynical sarcasm in Rhode Island on Sunday...Senator Hillary Clinton may have written her own political obituary. The corollary question: in so doing, did she also hand John McCain some of the paper and ink he'll need to try to write Barack Obama's? Our fifth story on the Countdown: Whatever the Clinton campaign thinks it is writing -- today it might have supplied the accompanying illustration: of Obama in traditional African robes.
