HRC politically tone deaf?
Just saw the news a bit ago and some of the clips of HRC's latest stump speeches. I have to ask, has she gone completely politically tone deaf? My goodness. And if it is proven her campaign or subordinates are behind the Obama photo, I think it is going to completely blow back on her.

As I typed much earlier, I was disappointed in Obama making veiled darts toward her emotional behavior, but what she is doing is so disappointing. Just who is she trying to get to fall into her camp?

And as one other wise DU'er asked, where was this "outrage" over Abu Ghraib?

1. It's embarrassing to watch.
She is self destructing right before the nation's eyes.

6. True, some have suggested that dropping out now would leave her with her ...
reputation intact.

2. I think Hillary
is just throwing crap against the wall hoping something will stick. She didn't expect this to be so close. A year ago no one predicted that anyone but Hillary would be the nominee. She's just trying to hang on by any means necessary.

4. To what end?
I don't believe that she is stupid. What is she hoping to accomplish at this point? That is my question.

What is her game plan? She and her multi-million dollar consultants know the end is nigh, what is she doing, now?

5. To win
To discredit Obama and get people to turn away from him. No she's not stupid; she just was unprepared for this. So the game plan is bringing in a bunch of pinch hitters and hope someone knocks one out of the park in the bottom of the ninth.

7. I just commented on her emotional behavior in another thread.
I hadn't heard anything about Obama mentioning it, but as someone with a rudimentary knowledge of mental issues and what stress can do to a person, I see her as becoming a bit erratic, to be as politically correct as I can. She's yelling, she's on the attack one minute and then on the defense the next, she's grasping at any possible way to bring Obama down even when they are blatantly bad ideas...this is not the Hillary Clinton we've ever seen. I may not agree with her and she's not my candidate in the primaries, but I've always thought of her as dignified, composed and smart, even shrewd. I think the stress of the campaign mixed with the dawning realization that she's actually not going to be the nominee has gotten to her.

10. reply
"this is not the Hillary Clinton we've ever seen. "

I suspect this is more and more the real hillary clinton when she is losing.

Betcha she will try to undermine Obama indirectly if he wins the nomination and help get a McCain victory, as he might not run in 2012 or she could try to run again as the nominee in any event.

13. Yes, sadly you're right.
The rest may very well have been a calculated facade. Even more reason not to support her.

8. she is completely unpredictable from one day to the next
Imagine ratings for the debates - people will be on the edge of their
seats waiting to see which Hillary will be here!

Meanwhile, Obama will be pretty consistent, and hopefully he won't react
to her strangeness.

Imagine sitting next to her and having to act as if she is normal!

12. I wonder what "base" she's appealing to. Men don't like her enough
to vote for her as it is. Next Month, she'll be lucky to get 25% of total men.
