Simple question - Has Bush gained any support since 2000?
In any state? With any organized group? With any demographic?

I'm not aware of any.

I know of people who supported him in 2000 who are not going to vote for him this time, but none vice versa.

1. The "9/11 changed everything crowd"
They include:

Ron Silver
Ed Koch
Zell Miller
Christopher (Drunk) Hitchens
and some fat guy in Georgia I saw interviewed on Dateline a few months ago.

2. How could I forget about that crowd
But even some of those have been squandered for lying about the war.

4. Gawd.. I hate that...
That whole "changed everything" drama... stop, you're killing me... - Didn't change much for me. I'm working longer hours, but beyond that, it's the same bs, different day.

5. imagine if 9/11 happened while clinton -- or gore -- or carter were prez!
yeah, like the republicans rallied around carter when the hostages were taken? yeah, right.

fact is, president gore would have been subject to impeachment the following week. there's just no way republicans would have increased their support for a democrat because our MILITARY HEADQUARTERS got hit. they'd be saying, how the hell could he let that have happened? someone 'strong on defense' doesn't get their military hq hit.

republicans firmly believe that they are the only true americans all non-republicans domestic and foreign are the enemy. with the sole exception of the foreign billionaires of course....

6. Clinton and Gore wouldn't have ignored all the warnings, maybe 911
wouldn't have even happened.

7. My experience is like yours
But I do think there is an emotional 9-11 changed everything group that may be added on top of his core, after the disillusioned are subtracted.

Let us pray that the net number is less than last time.
