Nader swings through Texas blasting GOP
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/politics/2459174

Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader, campaigning across Texas today, accused state Republicans of corruption and criticized the Bush administration over the war in Iraq.

Nader, who was scheduled to appear at an anti-war rally near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, called the war in Iraq unconstitutional.

"It's a very, very serious moment in the Bush administration's history, and he should be held to account for it," Nader said.

In wide-ranging comments to reporters, Nader criticized the Republican-dominated Texas Legislature for bills he said favored business over consumers.

Nader said campaign donations helped protect insurance companies and banks in 2003 as lawmakers passed bills on regulatory relief, medical malpractice limits and home equity loans, while cigarette companies escaped a potential new tax on their product.

2. I guess I can't fault him here
Now just STICK to Texas Ralphie, don't go anywhere else. And if you're going to blast the GOP, you should start helping defeat them.

Not that I *don't* still must wish the little troll would just finally dry up and blow away. Still...well, as the Chinese proverb goes, we vertainly do live in interesting times.

Nader still isn't on the ballot in any state, and he is making some excellent points. Can't we give the Nader publicity a rest for once?

7. Screw Nader
Nader is bought and paid for by the GOP. It won't be long before the sorry SOB Nader starts blasting Kerry.

"There's no difference between the two parties." These are some of the stupidest words ever uttered by a primate.

why would anyone here care abut him? hopefully he will not get on any state ballot, every dam vote counts against bush and the black boxes. if nadar didn`t have such a huge ego he`d cut some deals and back the dems but he won`t. when he meant with the rethugs a few years back his real allegiance showed.

9. Sure he starts with the GOP
but that only takes votes away from the Dems

Closer to the election he will start blasting Kerry just as his GOP handlers have instructed him. Nader is bought and paid for by GOP money. The SOB cares nothing for the issues or people he supposedly champions

SCREW NADER

10. Two candidates chewing on Bush is better than one.
I say Nader might keep Kerry populist, point out the truth about Iraq, big business . I will hold off my criticism for Nader until I see how his campaign runs.
Too many Dem's are just as responsible for the loss of 3 million jobs as Dubya...Nader needs remind Kerry of that.

11. Wouldn't it be great if, a week before the November election, Ralph
Edited on Sun Mar-21-04 04:59 AM by Zorra
said, "Look, all you good folks that were planning to vote for me....well, the reality of the situation is -- is that I can not win this election. Therefore, I humbly and respectfully request that each and every one of you cast your vote for Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry, because another four years of George Bu$h in the White House would be a tragic disaster for not only our nation, but for the entire world."

Think about it -- Nader would go down as a total hero in world history.

Please, please consider this, Mr. Nader.

17. Thinking...
Well, I'm *trying* to think of what Nader's done that would indicate he's on our side, and has even been on our side from the beginning... I'm thinking...

Okay, I give up. I guess I'm just not good enough to be a "thinking Dem." So, what has he done that indicates he's on our side?
