Which are the most solidly blue and red states, in your opinion?
In your view, which states are pretty much guaranteed to swing to one candidate or the other? By that I mean, to the point where Bush or Kerry should essentially concede that state to his opponent, and where it would effectively be safe to vote for Nader without hurting Kerry?

2. NONE!!!
"A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush!!!"

REMEMBER THAT!!!

We can't afford any ABB voting, it has to be for John Kerry...although I think you could safely vote for Nader in Massachusetts...Nader beat Bush there in 2000.

8. That's awesome! Thanks for the link!
Of course, if other people want to throw their two cents in or disagree with the contents of that, they should still pipe up anyway..... :)

I voted for Nader in 1996 and 2000, but I'm voting for Kerry this year. I loathe * so much that even if I lived in a solidly red state, I would vote for Kerry for no other reason than to make a statement with my vote that I want Bush out. :puke:

9. There were only eight states in 2000
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 08:29 PM by elperromagico
where Nader's percentage of the vote exceeded either Bush or
Gore's margin of victory:

State Nader % Margin of Victory
Florida 1.63% 0.01%*
New Mexico 3.55% 0.06%
Wisconsin 3.62% 0.22%
Iowa 2.23% 0.31%
Oregon 5.04% 0.44%
New Hampshire 3.9% 1.27%
Minnesota 5.2% 2.4%
Maine 5.7% 5.12%

It could be argued, therefore, that it was "safe" to
vote for Nader in 42 states... well, 39 (Nader wasn't on the
ballot in three states).

* = Well, I think you all know why there's an asterisk there.

10. VT, CT, ME, RI, MA, CA - TX, ID, WY, UT
I think those can be written off by Kerry or Bush, there's probably no way they could swing...

11. Add KS, ND, SD, IN to the Republican side,
though Kerry's doing better than most Democrats have in the past in Indiana.

15. People have to vote...
as though dems have no safe states.

Nader simply is NOT an option this time.
