I think we're better off with Obama being the nominee, and then president, but if the nominee is Hillary, I can support her too. Also I assume most people here feel that way but we don't have the heightened passion against a candidate to be as prolific as some here.

We'd be better off if we realized that the majority of the posts don't necessarily represent the majority of the posters.

8. Yes, absolutely
I feel like I have been saying this often enough here, but I guess it can't be stated too often: I like BOTH of our candidates, just one more than the other. I think HRC is an asset to our party and respect her very much. I will happily support the dem nominee, be it Obama, Hillary, or a ham sandwich, over ANY repuke.

9. I do!
I've already voted for Obama and I wouldn't change my vote, but I may be the only Obamaite that thinks she did a fantastic job during last nights debate. I think he probably has the nomination locked up, but if he doesn't, I'll gladly vote for Hillary in November.

The IWR vote is much easier to criticize if you spoke out against it.

But I'll definitely get behind her if she's the nominee.

11. Nope - very much true for me
In fact the major difference is entirely based on the likelihood of winning where I believe he has an advantage. I would have no clear favorite based on policy alone.

When I was checking in voters at the caucus a lady said she was having a tough time trying to decide who to vote for. We agreed that it wasn't fair to decide between just one - it's like pie and icecream, you should get to have both together.

The majority of GD: P posters do not represent the majority of DU.
The majority of DU does not represent the majority of Democrats.

People around here have an insanely elevated sense of self-importance. You would honestly think that people believe the stands they take in GD: P are of some consequence to the world at large.

I'd be surprised if there are more than 5% of ACTUAL Democrats that would refuse to vote for either B.O. or H.C. out of principle. These "I'll write in so-and-so" folks are the fringe. They flipped a coin between these two largely indistinguishable candidates or otherwise let their biases choose for them and suddenly became zealots just because they have nothing more important to tie their emotional instability to at the moment.

The people around here that make it sound like their candidate is good-in-of-itself and the other is evil-in-of-itself are ridiculous people - ignore them.

29. Absolutely!
I'm a Democrat.

I truly believe that Hillary is the better candidate for the job. However, I do not believe that she is the most electable, and that is just too critical to risk. Just my opinion based on a lot of listening.

What I have no patience for are the Hillary-haters who have decided that they would rather vote for McCain than Hillary.

They have no place on this board at all and I wish they would get the hell out of here.

33. I would say I fall in that category
I like Hillary Clinton and would be happy to vote for her in the fall if she gets the nomination. Moments like the end of the debate last night reminded me of that.

Some of her campaign tactics have irked me, and thus, my opinion of her has fluctuated a lot in the past few months.

and the fact that I think that Obama is such an excellent communicator. I think Hillary is good at communicating as well, but no one can match Obama in my opinion. I just think that Hillary motivates right wingers to get involved much more than anyone else. And, judging by some of the posts here at DU by Democrats, some of them have drank the right wing Kool Aid as well.

I am the same way - I believe they are BOTH capable of doing well as POTUS and will happily vote for whichever gets the nomination. I am an Obama supporter, as I believe he is a better fit for the country at this particular moment in History.

I have elsewhere on this forum stated this, but I will say it again, as I believe it deserves a reiteration - for those of you who say you will vote for McCain should your candidate not get the Democratic nomination, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?!?!?
Are you willing to sacrifice the ENTIRE progressive agenda (and the nation with it) on the altar of your juvenile temper tantrum? Grow the hell up, people! This election is FAR too important to leave the White House in Republican hands!
