WHERE WAS NOW WHEN O'REILLY SAID HE MIGHT LYNCH HER?
Where was NOW when O'Reilly said he might lynch Michelle Obama if he found out she is anti american? They were all over "snub gate" when they felt Obama has snubbed Hillary on the Senate floor. When a MAN threatens violence (literally or figuratively-who knows with this imbecile) against a WOMAN, I would expect for them to be all OVER IT. What's up with that?

3. Give them another 20 minutes or so..they were probably out at dinner...
Its a SURE bet that they'll try to take front and center of this story, and that's a bad thing.

39. That would mean the end of Obama's campaign
Unfortunately. The right would love nothing more than to drum up a war of racial words with the Obamas.

2. This is more of an african american thing than a woman thing...
Why would you think NOW would be leading the charge, instead of african american groups.

All I can say is I TRULY hope Bill O'Reily apologizes before Al Sharpton gets a demonstration going. This is really the last thing Obama needs.

5. Hopefully
Sharpton, Jackson et al will let it go. there are bigger things at stake here and they need to "keep their eyes on the prize", so to speak.

I wouldn't put it past O'Reily to have purposely said that to get those 2 and other civil rights leaders involved, and impact Obama's candidacy in that way. It's a trap.

9. She was also characterized as a "militant woman".
And men and women of all races have been lynched. It is not just an "african american thing". The comment in question had much less to do with her race than it did her sex, IMO.

IT WAS MORE OF A "HOW DARE THAT WOMAN! LET'S LYNCH HER FOR HOLDING AN OPINION THAT ISN'T IN LINE WITH OURS!" AGAIN, WHERE IS NOW ON THIS? THE "SNUB" WAS WORTH A HOOT AND A HOLLER BUT NOT THIS?

10. WHAT DO YOU MEAN
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS AN 'AFRICAN AMERICAN' THING. HE THREATENED VIOLENCE AGAINST A WOMAN. DOES IT REALLY MATTER THAN METHOD OF VIOLENCE? SO I GUESS HER RACE TRUMPS HER GENDER IN THIS CASE HUH?

HMMMM INTERESTING!

13. Check your CAPS LOCK key...you seem to have it turned on...
I'm sure you didn't mean it, right? But no, I don't think Bill intended physical harm to Michelle Obama, and neither do you. What he's guilty of is using a blatantly racist term in a completely inappropriate way.

19. MY CAPS LOCK IS FINE
AND BY THE WAY, YOU NOR I DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT HE "INTENDED PHYSICAL HARM" TO MICHELLE OBAMA. SOME NUT JOB LISTENING TO THIS CREEP OUT IN RADIO LAND MIGHT NOT TAKE IT THAT WAY. WHY USE THE TERM "LYNCHING PARTY"? EVEN IF HE MEANT IT IN A NON-VIOLENT WAY, HE WAS BASICALLY SAYING HE WOULD DO HER HARM IF HE FOUND OUT SHE IS ANTI AMERICAN. ISN'T THAT WORTH A HOOT AND A HOLLER IF THE "SNUB" WAS? OR DOES "NOW" ONLY CARE ABOUT WHITE WOMEN?

32. What O'Reilly did was what is called instigate violence against
a woman who happens to be African-American. Who knows what nut would listen to that and try to carry out the action that is suggested? It's happened before and could happen again. I hope Michelle has good security protection.

15. WHAT DO YOU MEAN "LYNCH"
WHAT DO YOU MEAN "LYNCH" IS NOT A WOMAN'S ISSUE? ISN'T VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN A WOMAN'S ISSUE? OR DO YOU NOT SEE BLACK WOMEN AS BEING REAL WOMEN? MAKE ME UNDERSTAND YOUR REASONING BECAUSE I JUST DON'T SEE IT.

suspension of Shuster, the suspension of Kelly Tilghman over the use of the same word in regards to Tiger Woods. Why does O'Lielly get a free pass on this? Where is the outrage on this one?

17. "Lynching" is not racially charged, it's a "Western" word....
"Lynch mob is a Western term. You wouldn't find one person in 10,000 in Utah that thinks that's a racist
term," Buttars said in a phone interview this evening. "That's not a racial term in my opinion. How do I know what words I'm supposed to use in front of those people?" - Sen. Craig Buttars -Utah

22. Yeah, except O'Reilly isn't from the West...
So he's damn well familiar with the racial implications of "lynching". He certainly should be after his boy W condemned the use of the expression no less than 2 weeks ago. Even though I still think his rant was much more to do with Michelle's sex than her race, the statement is inappropriate and disgusting through-and-through.

He's an asshole.

Although I think it would probably be wise of Michelle to come out and say something on the order of, "Lets just drop this folks", assuming Bill swears off his words to some extent.

NOW SHOULD COME OUT ON THIS AND DEMAND THAT O'REILLY APOLOGIZE BECAUSE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT ALL. HE SAID THIS OVER PUBLIC AIR WAVES. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. SO IT'S OKAY TO LYNCH A WOMAN BECAUSE SHE SPEAKS OUT OF TURN NOW? WHAT IS GOING ON?
