Poll question: How excited are you about Kerry?
Let's avoid flaming. Just a simple statement of your Kerry temperature.

1. Kerry is doing a excellent job against the 2 trillion dollar
Rove war, queer and smear machine. Karl Rove is gay!!!! (Closet) I know it in my bones, he's no different than McCarthy.

3. McCarthy wasn't gay...
Sorry, but as a wannabe screenwriter, it ticks me off when people spread disinformation about this guy. He has nothing to do with the Hollywood blacklists (one of the big lies about him).

He was a rough on Communists working for FDR and Truman, but I guess at the time, being Communist was like being gay today. Don't ask, don't tell. :)

But he managed to drink himself to death.

12. Well, you're right, but why does the disinformation tick you off?
1. I don't think fearnobush was implying McCarthy was gay but, rather, an expert at smearing other people like Rove is.

2. fearnobush didn't even mention the Hollywood blacklist but while we're on the subject... it is true that McCarthy didn't participate in the hearing where the "Hollywood Ten" were blacklisted and sentenced to prison terms for contempt of Congress. BUT McCarthy WAS in charge of the second wave of HUAC hearings where he subpoenaed some of the most prominent entertainers of the era (e.g. Orson Welles, Lucille Ball, Dashielle Hammett, and Lillian Hellman) before HUAC, demanding "the naming of names."

3. Read much Ann Coulter lately?

Cohn was McCarthy's hatchet man.

8. a lot more excited than I ever thought I would be
I loved "crooked, lying group." I'm sure it was said on purpose.

I also like how he had the repukes in a quandry just thinking that other world leaders want them out of office.

The fools have been falling for every one of these maneuvers.

2. Tepid, I am Waiting For A Stronger Stance On The Economy
And health care.

I think ultimately all Kerry can do is set a different direction and tone for the country.

That is probably all we can and should expect.

Will it be enough to save America from the Bush Crime Family?

Who knows!

5. I just can't get excited about this
I don't know why. I absolutely hate Bush. I'm definitely voting for Kerry, but I just can't get enthusiastic about him.

14. Well, you don't have to go on a romantic trip w the guy, just help
him win the Whitehouse by talking him up a little bit to your friends and neighbors, sending him 10.00 bucks now and again rather than seeing a bad movie, and maybe maybe putting a bumper sticker on your car.

It is too bad that your chosen candidate didn't make it. I guess all of the candidates excited me in different ways.

But I am very un-excited about another 4 of the Connecticut Cowboy.

15. I was hoping for a lot more this election cycle. It started out with
a bang. For the first time I felt as if things really were going to change. Now I'm adrift, but hopeful. We need to hold our Democratic leaders to Democratic principles. That's where my heat is going to go.

I can't say I've felt the spark of excitement yet. I'm waiting.
