My daughter called me as she was driving home all politically electrified.

She told me how she got into a big debate in the break room at work.

A colleague was telling my daughter that Barack had muslim in him. This person was also going on with ALL the silly rumors that get spread around about each candidate.

My daughter was laughing when she told me her reply. She said straight-faced, "I'm pretty sure he has some christian in him too." She said the colleague didn't even catch on to the fact that they are religions and not nationalities.

I'm once again surprised how gullible people are and how much weight they put in anything they hear on TV/Radio.

1. It's unfortunate for a couple of reasons.

Obviously, Obama isn't Muslim so it's a lie.

But the fact that they can use this as a smear is even more sad. Muslim does not equal terrorist.

My daughter is married to a Tunisian who is nominally Muslim--kind of like a Christian who only goes to church on holidays. But he's the nicest, sweetest guy you ever want to meet.
