Some Dems to run away from Kerry -- The Hill...
according to the Hill, 17 Dems running for House races are preparing to run "independent" races this November.

http://www.thehill.com/news/031704/kerry.aspx

A handful of House Democrats who look vulnerable in November’s election, plan to run away from their party’s presumptive presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), and will not endorse him.

The holdouts are a minority of the 17 “frontliners” selected by the party leadership for member-to-member cash infusions, but their attitude reflects varying levels of comfort with how the New England senator will play in their districts.

A majority of frontliners, including those who are from conservative districts carried by President Bush in 2000, and have slim majorities, plan to campaign with and for Kerry.

--snip--

Several lawmakers, including Reps. Rodney Alexander (D-La.), Allen Boyd (D-Fla.), Jim Marshall (D-Ga.), Jim Matheson (D-Utah) and Dennis Moore (D-Kan.) have told The Hill they do not currently plan to endorse Kerry.

--snip--

In North Dakota, which Bush won with more than 60 percent of the vote, Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D) has pledged to be a super-delegate for Kerry at the convention.

In Tennessee, which analysts expect to go for Bush by a larger margin than in 2000, Rep. Lincoln Davis (D) said he still plans to endorse his party’s nominee, touting his own record of independence. “I won’t be out-gunned, out-prayed, or out family-ed,” said Davis.

Seems like some of our Dem candidates have balls (figuratively) and some don't

3. O.K. people let's look at this How are they voting? If they are
voting for the repugs then get a real democrat to run against them, but if their voting Dem then let them slide the house is our only hope for the future to regain control of a branch of government. These guys aren't setting the national agenda. Kerry must set a Democratic agenda that is unambiguous and clear. If their is not a clear choice in Nov they will stick with the whore who brought them.

5. Exactly
We don't need no stinking Zell Millers. If they aren't with us (oh oh, sounds like a monkey) well you know.

7. Nonsense
These aren't Zell Millers. These are real Democrats. We don't have the luxury of throwing Congressmen out of the Democratic Party. Nobody knows these guys' districts better than they do, and its really not our place to second guess them. They need to do what they need to do. If they start campaigning against Kerry, then you throw them out. That's what Miller's doing. But they're not doing that.

6. Don't be silly
They're real Democrats and we need to support them. The fact that a Democrat of any kind can get elected in Utah (Jim Matheson) is pretty remarkable, and its really not appropriate for us to second-guess their own judgement of their respective districts. I like Kerry a whole lot. And he's smart enough to realize that he may not be an asset everywhere.

9. The fact that a Dem can get elected in KS too
Moore's my rep and I'm not crazy about him, but at least I'm represented by someone with a "D".

4. Let's Face it...
Kerry is not the greatest Dem nominee we've ever had. I don't care. Neither do most of the people who are supporting him.

I listened to Rush Limpbrain today and he was going through his laundry list of Kerry-bashing talking points, and I thought: So what? What is Kerry turns out to be a flip-flopping pandering nightmare? I am going to vote for him anyway. I wouldn't vote for GW Bush at gunpoint. So I am starting to feel like this campaign is a waste of time. Like most Americans, I have already made my choice.
