1. Enough that Clinton won't win by the 65% she needs.

3. it is smart that he is working ard in Ohio and not running to the next state
a la Hillary and Rudy. He just needs to keep her below that 65% threshold, and I think he will

6. AP: Teamsters to endorse Obama

Teamsters to endorse Obama

By JESSE J. HOLLAND, AP Labor Writer

WASHINGTON - Union officials say the powerful Teamsters union will endorse Barack Obama.

The officials say the International Brotherhood of Teamsters is expected to make an official announcement later Wednesday. Teamster President James P. Hoffa plans to meet with Obama in Austin, Texas, before an announcement is made.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the planned public announcement.

The Teamsters represent 1.4-million members, and are considered one of the largest and most powerful unions. They also are a potent source of campaign cash and get-out-the-vote workers for Democrats.

Obama was endorsed on Friday by the nation's largest union, the Service Employees International Union.

7. this may help in OH and TX
if they also commit to organize and get out the vote.

Especially with early voting in TX.

8. I'm one of them....
and he is my pick over Hillary, so I guess my Union knows what it's doing. I like them both, I prefer John Edwards to be the next president, but, since they forced him out with scant reporting, and attacked his pro-people policies, I support Barack.

As my avatar shows, I want this to be the 1-2 ticket. Although it might not be, it would be great. It's a 40/40 shot between him and Clark I think, the other 20% going to 3 or 4 others.

11. there's 1.4 million of us...
so being a border state, and the 2nd biggest population wise, I would think there's over a 100,000 alone in Texas, guessing.

Teamster donations to GOP are down from 12% in 2004, to 2% this year - this country is turning on the GOP heavily. Thank God! I guess those 12% bought into the Kerry is an enemy of the Vietnam Vets lies. But, typically GOP money support is 4-6 percent, not many want to give a certain loser money I guess.

stay positive!
