I mean, it's fun to read about who Obama should choose as VP and who his Cabinet choices should be.

But she's still in the race.

FYI.

This is a public service announcement.

13. Let's call her "Hillabee"
Maybe the two also-rans can debate each other? That would be fun.

15. Could we just stop with the name-calling? It's juvenile, at best, and
does nothing to advance Obama's message.

Thank you.

2. Sorry, stick a fork in her, she's done
She's going to have to pull down over sixty percent of the vote in each and every single state from here on out to win. Do you honestly think that will happen? The gap is closing in Ohio, and it's a dead heat in Texas.

The worst thing that she can do right now is keep pursuing the nomination, going negative, and dividing the party, all for nothing.

She would do best, both for herself and for the party, to bow out graciously and start helping to heal the party.

4. Can you clarify something for me?
This is a serious question. What do you think is Clinton's campaign strategy now? Continue to press for debates and go negative on Obama? Try to improve her ground organization? What I've seen from them lately seems pretty disjointed. It seems like she can still win, maybe even win big, in PA and OH. But it doesn't seem like that's enough to me.

5. I have absolutely no idea.
I honestly couldn't tell you what they're strategy will be. I appreciate the serious question, but I don't know.

Look, I'll be honest. I'm discouraged right now. There's no way I could spin the most recent primaries as anything but a huge setback. But...she's still in it.

remaining states to get 65% of the delegates (as explained and broken down on every news channel), I just don't see it happening.

She hasn't doesn't it thus far (I think her biggest win was what Mass?), and that was before the Obama wave really took hold.

I just don't see her making a comeback...I think she should stay in until March 4th, but if he beats her thoroughly and get a chunk of the delegates, she definitely needs to exit gracefully..so the Dems can get to work on the GE and get to preparing to the challenge and beat down the old dried up, mummy McNot!

12. ITA about Gravel...she should have gone on the road with him
when Obama refused to debate in Wisconsin, she should have debated Gravel and an empty chair. She should do the same thing in Rhode Island and Vermont.

20. Or she could plagiarize speeches or, even better, make sexist comments...
that would make this fun. "My opponent's endurance is short and his record is small and insignificant.." yeh, that's the ticket.

9. You forgot, this is DU. Facts and respect don't matter here.
It's the place where they think the snottiness and number of posts means the same thing as votes and delegates. I guess the people who already voted for her, actual ballots and everything, did so because they were all goofed out on the flu. They couldn't actually like her, or anything... :sarcasm:

I thought Obama supporters were supposed to be the "cultlike" ones? Now Clinton's supporters are showing they're living in a fantasy land where they evidently think she can pick up two thirds of the remaining delegates. She's still in the race because she chooses to be here. That's her right, but her motives for doing so are unknown to me after last night. She doesn't have much of a message left beyond anti-Obama rhetoric and experience, so it's not like she's trying to pull the race in a certain policy direction.

14. You know...I think that's up to her.
I mean, it's her campaign and all.

I don't presume to speak for her. I don't know why anyone here would, either.

Whether she continues with her campaign is up to her, and her family. There are still Ohio and Texas and Pennsylvania to hold their primaries.

16. What happens if Obama wins all the big 2 on March 4th?
What happens if Obama wins Texas and Ohio (with apologies to Vermont and Rhode Island)? Will Hillary throw in the towel, or will she drag this out to the bitter end? Obama has now won 10 straight primaries and caucuses from every part of the country, and he is winning by wide margins. The Democratic electorate is speaking with a loud and unified voice. Will Hillary listen, or will her ego refuse to let go?

I don't mean this to be insulting to Clinton supporters. I'll vote for her if she wins the nomination, but it seems that the voters prefer Obama.

21. Maybe if Hillary steps aside
then Barack can start some of the dialog that he's going to have to engage in. Or maybe he won't. Maybe it'll stay soft platitudes. Time was you ran left in the primary and moderated in the general. Barack's going to need to go left in the general for my support. Then again, so would Hillary. I wouldn't mind a choice between center-left and center-right in the general. Instead, it seems we're going center-right and batshit crazy right. Hooray for us.
