McCain & Clinton dilemna--They are running the same campaign against Obama. They will both lose
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 12:57 AM by FrenchieCat
Both Sen. McCain and Sen. Clinton are running as "Most Experienced"; and both are telling an entire generation, screw a good speech and forget about Hope.

They both voted for "it" and then "felt" that the Iraq War was fought badly.
They both voted for the Iran Resolution.
One trusted Bush, the other trusts Bush.
Ironically, both have in their history the point that they were dogged by Bush or Bush Co-Horts (Rove).

But yet, as experienced as they claim themselves to be, they are both running against Obama who was wise enough to see going into Iraq for what it was: Criminally Dumb!

They both represent established Washington (her with the machine, him with the 25 years in the Senate) going against the Young Obama; a dynamic insurgent.

One is a War Hero and the other one is a President's wife.

Meanwhile, Obama is a skinny kid from all over, who sometimes wonders how he got to where he is.

They are the same of faces doing the same old things and telling us to expect different results.

McCain has a hand up from Clinton as he is against "Pork"...while Hillary is for it. Problem is, Obama is not "For" pork as much as he is against monied Interest...which equalizes McCain on the issue of ethics.

Clinton and McCain do not have young energetic families representing youth. We have Mrs. McCain looking trophied and almost too sharp (literally pointy) and made up....and you have Bill Clinton looking Bulbous and red.

McCain and Hillary are top down, while Obama is bottom up.

McCain represents the White man that has been running our country into the ground forever.
Hillary represents the 1990s and bekons us into going back to somewhere we have already been.

McCain and Hillary practice the politics of fear and the politics of division; Obama plays for the politics of hope and inclusiveness.

And so I concluded that we don't need Hillary going up against McCain...because the contrast is simply not stark enough from those looking via their own ideological niche.

In other words, both McCain and Clinton represent yesterday.
Obama represents today and tomorrow.

Obama is just totally different, and truly is more charismatic then both of the other two put together.

With Hillary's negatives and McCain's penchant for all things war..... neither is the better choice.

That's why Barack Obama will win the Presidency of our United States of America in November of 2008.

And what is it that he wants us to do?

He wants us to join him in changing the world.

I like it! :)

WELCOME TO THE TECHNICOLOR WHITE HOUSE OF 2009!

1. Obama needs to hit the Clintons and McCains hard, in one single two-for-one KO...
... by saying:

"You saw what John and Cindy McCain did when they took a swipe at Michelle? I know, I know. Cheap shot, right?"

"Well, John and Cindy just can't wait to tear into the secret libary donor lists of Bill and Hillary Clinton, tear into their hidden tax returns, and tear into Bill and Hillary's other financial dealings. John and Cindy got out their kitten claws this week, and bared a little kitten fang. But they're really spoiling for the easy pickings the Clinton carcass will offer."

Oh, it's rough. But I'm sure Axelrod could spin it into something.

; )

9. Michelle's misunderstood remarks will be clearified.....and will be
taken advantage of. It will be a thing of beauty. I do believe that they are that good; that fresh, to come up with something really great!

... enemies.

And make no mistake. The Clintons will tag team with John and Cindy, if for one minute they think that it might give Hillary a Hail Mary pass to the winner's circle at the convention.

Lump the two couples together: John and Cindy, Hill and Bill, in the counterpunch. Tie them together in the minds of the voters of Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, and Vermont.

Show any and all clips of the Clintons and McCains together at social functions (preferably gala/black tie).

Make sure the voters there understand that politics makes for strange bedfellows, and right now the Clintons and McCains have a common goal: keep the status quo from being challenged by real change and real hope.

2. I couldn't have said it better. Hill and McCain are running the same campaign,
and the only way they are going to stop him is to commit murder.

I think people are finally asking themselves where all this 'experience' has gotten us.

Stuck in Iraq
Stuck in a recession
Stuck with the world hating us.

People want something different

11. Thanks old Friend! Yes.......Obama really is the only choice.....
for us at this point.

Considering the lousy campaign that both Hillary and McCain ran, it's a wonder that they are still both standing. But not for much longer, I think!

12. Thanks!
When I envisioned the battle between a McCain and a Clinton, I just didn't see much there to get me very excited......and I believe that much of the nation is starting to agree with me.

5. McCain's Achilles Heel is...
that he doesn't realize that nobody supports this bullshit war anymore, and alot of us never did. He'll run on 100 more years in Iraq, and the American people will hand him his political ass on a platter.

14. Which is why the Indies, most who are tired of this war, will not be
voting for McCain, if Barack is on the ticket. Maybe he'll get the Libertarian vote.....but not the Indies fed up with both parties enabling this war.

16. They remind me a lot of my two daughters.....who are now 20 & 17!
when they were young.

That little one has that little twinkle that I see in her dad's eye when he was just a babe in photos.

If you don't work for the Obama campaign, you should.

You have come up with some of the best political phrases I've seen anywhere.

to thank for that. And Hillary has to thread gingerly herself!

20. I think you underestimate the corporate media's ability to frame the debate
and overestimate the electorate's ability to parse the record and see McCain as the far right creep that he is.

It'll be the maverick vs. the upstart throughout the summer and fall, and many of the so called "independents" and damn near ALL of the Republicans falling for McCains image and experience.

Not to mention his favorable stance on immigration, which appeals to hispanic voter that might otherwise have gone overwhelmingly Democratic.

Nothing would please me better than to see a technicolor white house- but unfortunately, what keeps popping up are shades of McGovern in 1972.
