Kerry should point out that DEMOCRACY was the victor in
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 04:30 PM by LandOLincoln
Spain, not the terrorists; that 90% of the Spanish population had been opposed to the invasion of Iraq in the first place, and that Aznar, like Blair, defied the expressed will of his people by joining BushCo in the Iraqi diversion from the real terrorists.

He could also point out that the Madrid bombings--like the many others around the world since 9/11--made it clear that BushCo's "War on Terra" is anything but.

edit for punctuation

2. In fact, wasn't the US the only country in the "Coalition of the Willing"
where the majority of the people supported the Iraq war?

4. He doesn't seem that strong to me.
Although weakening him is always a good idea, especially since all you have to do is speak the truth about his own actions.

15. If you make "barely enough as it is," you ought to know
that Kerry has no interest in raising your taxes. Welcome to DU. Enjoy it while you can. ;)

8. agree
Bush doesn't seem to be strong at all.....if he were, he could run on his record, but that is a disaster.....we are not better off than we were before he assumed the throne. He lied to the American people and the world. If he were so strong, he wouldn't have to keep defending his reasons for going into Iraq.....or should I say his many changing reasons.

9. Yes, but even in those countries
(Australia, Spain, and the United Kingdom for example), wide majorities opposed the US action in Iraq and their government's support for it.

10. To impeach Bush (and remove him from office) we would need to
A. Get a majority in the House,
B. Get at least a 75% majority in the Senate. We'd need at least that much, because some Democrats would vote against conviction (Zell Miller, for instance).

We couldn't get either until at least November, and it's unlikely even then. So our best hope is to get rid of him via the ballot.
