The Choice Has Never Been More Obvious to Me. I Know America Sees It, Too.
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 11:39 PM by David Zephyr
Obama supporters pay attention: Yes, we won Wisconsin, but Hillary also -- on her own, even in second place -- had more votes than John McCain & Mike Huckabee together. The math is simply stellar when these two are on the ballot.

IF we want to sweep the Senate and the House, we must all not overlook the obvious. Barack & Hillary together have already pulled millions and millions more voters to the polls than the Republicans have. Let's not be idiots and throw this away.

3. tell ya one thing
I'm a helluva lot more likely to put some work into an Obama nomination if Hillary is there to back him up as Veep.

Otherwise --it's just a vote. And nothing more.

Yes --I'll vote for Obama if he's the nominee. I'll WORK for Obama if Hill's in the picture.

7. I'm not religious, but it is my prayer.
With such majorities we can change America like it has never happened since FDR.

13. People who think Hill would be a drain on Obama
overlook a simple fact.

She's not all that far behind him in votes --and her supporters are extremely loyal.

Dare I say --even more firmly entrenched and likely to vote in the GE than his.

21. Look at it like this
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 11:55 PM by maddiejoan
Captain Kirk always had Mr. Spock.

Hillary is like Mr. Spock. She's knows her shit cold --and has all the details right there at her fingertips.
THAT's why I support her --but if the country is crying out for Captain Kirk --than that's who Captain's the ship.

I'd just feel a lot more at ease with Spock on the Bridge.

4. She's not a good VP choice
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 11:43 PM by JVS
No national security experience
Has high negatives
Brings with her a meddling ex-president husband
Ran a fucking disgusting campaign
Is continuing a nearly hopeless run
Voted for IWR out of either stupidity or calculating cynicism
Has told all the states she lost that they don't matter

23. Yeah, but the present is where the past and the future meet.
We need to elect a Democratic administration now, immediately, this present year. That means we need to get everyone on board, those who live in the past and those who live in the future. Believe it or not, both live in the Democratic party!

Besides, not all of the past is bad. Would you want to give up the Constitution? How about child labor laws, food safety standards, public schools and libraries? Those were created in the past. You can't build a future without having the past as your base to steady you through whatever chaos the future holds.

IMHO. :)

9. There is ZERO chance....
Bringing Hillary on board neutralizes the appeal of Obama... that he is NOT part of the 20-year Bush/Clinton oligarchy.

She brings NOTHING to his campaign .... except negatives.

16. No way! The Clintons not only have burned their bridges with Obama, but also with the Democratic
Party in general. It's all about THEM: The Clintons, their beloved DLC and "illustrious" legacy. They are behaving in a vile manner and it will only continue until our party is ripped to shreds. I'm so ashamed that I voted for her husband ... twice.

18. Not saying that either would have to accept but...
for the purpose of unity, I would like both of them offer the VP to the other if they are the nominee. They don't have to accept, but I think it would be a great help in attempting to unify the Party. I doubt that it will happen, but I would like each of them make the offer before the OH, TX, and PA primaries.

30. There might have been a chance for this
before Hillary started her scorched earth policy against Obama. That time has passed however.

I sure wouldn't want a mudslinger like Hillary to be second in command in my administration.

Not to mention having to keep an eye on Bill at all times.

Nope, no sale.

31. Honestly, I think Edwards would be a much better VP
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 12:32 AM by casus belli
I know he has said that he will not accept a request to run as VP, but I think he would make a stellar choice for VP if he could be persuaded to do so. Honestly, I thought he was the stronger half of the Kerry/Edwards ticket and I think it could open the door for a future presidential run by Edwards.
