1. WA state had a caucus a couple of weeks ago--that's when the delgates
were awarded. Tonight is a beauty contest only, no delegates awarded. It doesn't count. No, really, it doesn't count. LOL. But watch the Hillbots insist it does.:eyes:

2. Their primaries
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 11:27 PM by The Ghost
Dont count, they are popularity contests. Only their caucuses count.

Weird though, HRC is winning so far! That would be weird if she wins the primary, and Obama wont the caucus

6. WA Folks that have already caucused may not feel the need to vote......
which makes it a contest that cannot count....cause many WA Votes don't think it does.

16. I'm one of them...
Caucused for Obama - case closed.

I did not vote - no need to. Many Dems are simply ignoring it.

9. We did!
We caucused for Obama here in Washington, last week-end and voted with a mail in ballot in the primary this week.

When the Rethugs were running the house they decided to do half and half. We used to be all caucus. They half caucus and half primary. ARGH!

We need to change that!

15. Some crazy/lazy person insisted on a primary. The courts agreed.
So we do both.

The caucus is all that matters.

8. They caucused, then comes the primary.

My daughter was a delegate from Seattle; but then after that initial caucus, all of those delegates had to meet and do something before their primary. I'm sorry I don't know what. At least, I think that's what it is. Someone? I know the other night CNN had Washington on its map highlighted the same color as Wisconsin and Hawaii for elections today. Of course it is just now 8:30pm in Washington. So results are late, but not as late as Hawaii's.

Edit: She said the delegates on that first day of caucuses did not count. She said they had to meet the next week and select delegates from the ones selected at first, so she might not make it to the convention. She's busy, so she hasn't emailed me and I don't like to bother her right now.

WA
Yes, here in WA we have both, and no, it doesn't make any sense. And yes, you can vote in both. It is up to the parties to decide whether to use the primary vote to choose any delegates.

It should be understood that we also do most of our voting by mail, so the votes can be very out-of-date, just as California's can. That is why Hillary did better in the primary than the caucus; many people had voted before they knew much about Obama.

10. They don't count.
No, I'm serious they don't count. Why can't I make a factual statement about something not counting without people mocking me?!

13. BWAHAHAHAHAH! Look at the totals!
...In an election that has no effect whatsoever on the D nomination and wasn't exactly a Kerry blowout....
...and where The Republican primary on the same night is for real...

More D voters turn out than R.
