Whether you're for Obama or for Hillary...remember this...
...your candidates are absolutely destroying their Republican counterparts in terms of getting out the vote. This is not a blip, it is the norm and has been since the start of primary season.

For instance...tonight Hillary finished a fairly distant second to Obama in Wisconsin and still managed to garner more votes than all Republican candidates on the ballot combined.

If this trend resumes in November - which has often been two to one in terms of Democratic to Republican turnout at the polls - someone needs to explain to me how it's not a Democratic landslide.

This interested Canadian just wants an end to an 8 year nightmare and will rally behind whomever becomes the Democratic nominee!

1. How it's not a landslide:
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 11:11 PM by Hissyspit
People make their final decision on Nov. 4, in the voting booth in the general election, which is NOT a primary, a full eight months from now (lots of crap between now and then), based oftentimes on their perception of the candidate from the day or week before.

But I'm hoping it's a landslide.

4. I know...I just think that the ability to get out the vote...
...or the lack thereof if you're a Republican, is what it's all about. I can't see voter turnout dampening in November for either Dem candidate (starting to look more and more like Obama). Republicans are staying home so far and if they do so in November, it has to kill their chances. The Dem vs. Repub voter turnout in the primaries so far has been the only thing resistant to change. First Hillary had the momentum, now Obama is running away with it. It has been fluid, yes, but through all of this we're killin' 'em at the polls. Primary after primary, caucus after caucus.

It's just great news, it just is.
