Thank you CSPAN guy for correcting idiot caller re: Obama's religion.
This crackpot is calling in and saying that Barack swore on the Koran and that he's a muslim. The commentator guy (I forget his name) stopped her and said he's a Christian and did not swear on a Koran. She refused to believe it, and insisted that Obama has his father's Muslim blood running through his veins.

What a moran!

4. Trust me, I'm well aware of it.
I was giving kudos to a member of the media for nipping misinformation in the bud.

3. I have decided that these people who
are saying this have settled on this canard because our society will no longer allow them to attack him for being a black man. It is a vehicle for them to vent their racism.

6. I think you are right about that.
Like illegal immigration, it has become a proxy.

8. i had this debate with a republican friend.
i explained to her that as a child we can not choose our religion. my parents raised me catholic, sent me to catholic school. when i was old enough to make a decision i gave up christianity.

in a way i think it's good that he was exposed to islam. it can't hurt to be exposed to other religions and thoughts.
