Whoa... Is anyone watching Tweety demand answers about Obama's accomplishments
from State Senator Watson? So suddenly Tweety is pro Clinton? Or is he just being his usual anti-Dem self?

Tweety pulled a bullshit move there to get back into the good graces of the Clintons. Trying to embarrass that guy is ridiculous.

Keith just asked Tweety to name one of Hillary's accomplishments over the past 7 years and he had NOTHING to say. What a complete ass.
He owes Senator Watson an apology.

23. I thought he asked Tweety: what did the Senate acomplish
i.e did the senate accomplish anything in the past 7 years..

Not just what did Hillary accomplish.

But this answer needs to be ready.

I think people support Obama because:

he isn't Hillary

he inspired hope,

he changed the tone,

he promises change,

he involves the public,

he shows a respectful tone to all voters

I think his answers on immigration and health care need a ton of work.

I am an Obama supporter, I was having trouble choosing between Edwards and Obama,
and never supported Hillary - because of her vote for the war, and also that she
encouraged Bill to bomb Kosovo.

Hillary clearly is a hawk.

22. Keith kicked Chris' ass!
I loved to hear the laughter in the studio after Keith said that.

For those who didn't hear:

Keith: "can you name 1 accomplishment of the united states' senate in the last seven years?"

Chris: "that's a broader question requiring broader preparation..."

Keith: "you don't have an answer to that one either..."

(laughter in the studio)

Nuclear non-proliferation and securing loose stockpiles of conventional weapons, like shoulder-fired missiles.

Ethics legislation the strongest ever brought forth (although he wanted it to be stronger).

28. That was unprofessional of Matthews by any standard applied.
Keith immediately asked Chris if HE could name anything the Senate has accomplished in the last 7 years.... Chris hemmed and hawed and said that it 'would require much more study than he was prepared to report on tonight.' (paraphrased)

IMHO, Chris really embarrassed himself in his shoddy treatment of Texas State Senator Watson.

29. Note to Obama's Rapid Response and Prep Shop:
Here's how you answer that question:

"It is going to take this historic election to achieve the changes Senator Obama has worked for all of his life, because of the gridlock that has paralyzed, and honestly, disheartened this nation, ever since the impeachment of President Clinton taught conservatives that attack politics work and that the politics of hope are moot."

point. There is something mentally off about Tweety anyway, so this may be his subconcious way of getting out from under the Obama Man Crush thing. Good catch.

45. Tweety's been in pain ever since Jon Stewart took him to the woodshed.
Shortly after Jon showed him what an Alpha Dog is, Tweety was on his own show, whining to his co-conspirators that "Jon Stewart is really short and I think that had something to do with it."

;-)

42. I think this is a right wing talking point.
I heard this same tactic being used by Neal Boortz on his show today. The woman caller was pretty good as she was able to come up with Head of Harvard Law Review and 20 years in the Illinois state legislature, but Boortz kept snarling, "so what! so what!"

Strange that Tweety and Boortz were singing from the same hymnbook.

I don't remember Tweety being so stringent about "accomplishments" with W.
