Dean SHOULD respond to Gillespie thusly:
"RNC Chairman yesterday called me a 'mouthpiece for terrorists.' His comment is totally out of line and downright unAmerican, although it doesn't surprise me because anybody that doesn't agree with the Bush administration gets labeled by them a 'terrorist.'

"As far as the Republican position on this issue, they are the one's who are claiming victory for the terrorists- simply because their allied regime in Spain were removed from power, by the Spanish people, in a Democratic election.

"Those who are working for the most powerful and authoritative government in the world have a responsibility to never declare 'victory' for the terrorists, for it only encourages terrorism, and to duely recognize the decision of the Spanish people to change the government which was not serving their interests, for that is true democracy in action."

---------

These are not Dean's words, of course- I just think that Gillespie's comments deserve a very serious, hard-hitting response, and it looks like Dean is going to have to defend himself. I'm sure he's willing to do that, though, and he can make use of my ideas if he likes.

1. My response would be to punch Gillespie in the face
But then the DLC bots would say I was "too angry" :eyes:

2. Gee, you sound kind of moderate to me.
I'd be tempted to break my size 13 boot off in his constricted little #$%^&.

3. Well yeah but that wouldn't really help anything
politically.

Dean really does need to respond to this with something at least equally nasty. But, you're right, I'm sure he could find something much nastier than what I said.

4. Let Me Be Clear :)
I'm NOT suggesting that Dean literally kick some ass, lol, I'm just saying that I might have responded in such a way, which is one of the many reasons I should never run for any office. :)

10. You sure as hell got that one right
When Dean was a candidate he regularly floored me with the sheer audacity (a good thing in my opinion) of his public statements. Now that he doesn't have to worry about jeopardizing his presidential ambitions this year, I'm hoping he takes the gloves off. It may be the only thing that will make the next 8 months of this election year bullshit even remotely tolerable.

Got size 15 boots here. Ed won't be sitting down for a week. It might almost be worth damaging the shoes (since they aren't easy or cheap for me to find)

I was going to suggest sending him to the Angola state farm where he can serve out a life sentence in the productive and fulfilling role of "human toilet".

Calling an American a terrorist without proper cause? That could certainly call for a resignation.

11. That Would Be A Good Response, Mr. Looney
But Gov. Dean will not make it, or anything too similar to it. He is not really very good as a fighter, unfortunately....

15. What An Honor, Fellow
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 03:51 PM by The Magistrate
To feature in your personal profile; perhaps your dreams will be next?

Gov. Dean does not take a punch well, or know how to lay an opponent out: his position today would be rather different if it were other-wise.

He is good at much of the necessary loud-mouthing of modern political life, and can make a useful contribution. But he will not counter-punch in the manner Mr. Looney has suggested.

"Can't nobody here play this game?"

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

26. On that, I think we can agree.
I think, we need to nip this labeling of anyone who disagrees with the Bushies, as a terrorist in the bud, and stuff it back down their hypocritical throats.

What a piece of shit! Personally, I think Dean should just hold a mirror up to that shill's face and tell him to take a good look when he makes such wreckless and irresponsible statements.

Jagoff! :grr:
