I realize the mods might move this but I think it makes sense considering the book is about campaigning.

So there's this new book you should buy (and you should do it from Powell's or a local book store).

I'm still reading it but slightly over 1/2 finished it's already an awesome book. It's about recent progressive successes and how to replicate them. It's real and inspiring and you probably need to read it.

Probably the best part I've gotten from it so far is that progressives need to start putting the "party" back in "political party". Literally throw a party on your block in your house and get people together and celebrate your politics and everything democrats have done.

Even further we need to stop talking about how the world is about to blow up and life sucks and start celebrating everything we're doing right and everything we're going to do right in the future. We need to take this happiness and connect with other people that we don't know on an emotional level and bring them with us (to vote and party etc).

nothing kills a party quicker than politics unless everyone feels the same way.
