8. Obama seems like a dream
from a CNN piece I saw on him. Attractive, educated, young seems like he could go places. I wish him the best of luck.

Are there currently any black U.S. senators?

9. Obama's got it wrapped up.
I think I will volunteer for my first political campaign working for him this summer. Imagine if Illinois could be represented by Dick Durbin and Barak Obama...it can't get much better than that!

11. Isn't that the truth?
AND Paul Simon was going to or did endorse Obama before he died. If Paul Simon backed Obama, we KNOW he's going to be a GREAT Senator. I am so THRILLED that he has won. :bounce:

13. Simon didn't endorse anyone
But Simon's daughter appeared in ads endorsing Obama. I'm quite pleased he won the primary, too. He got my vote.

12. So far only Cook and DuPage county
have reported much in the way of votes, but it's obvious Obama won metro Chicago by a huge margin, though he'll have to build his support downstate some.

It looks like Ryan will win too, but it looks like a feeble win.

19. Anyone watching CLTV?
They have had a number of people on singing the praises of Obama and most of their coverage about Ryan revolved around the fact that the divorce controversy caused him to stumble a bit late and would hurt him more in November. If the media continues to swirl over this divorce problem, this race could be much easier than a lot of us thought.
