Where's Cheney? Where's Powell? Is Bush really in charge and does he know he is in charge? Is America really in safe hands with this bunch? No matter how much they try to convince me that it is they that are strong on defense and those Democrats that are weak on defense, I get the uneasy feeling that we are only drifting with luck and that the others have left Bush in charge, not realizing the gravity of leaving the key of our security with such an unpracticed guardsman. But we shall endure that reality by covering it like syrup with rhetoric to deceive the anxious and willing partisans...
