Polls that should make Hillary supporters smile
Rasmussen 02/13 - 02/13 754 LV 51 37 Clinton +14.0

SurveyUSA 02/10 - 02/11 720 LV 56 39 Clinton +17.0

Columbus Dispatch 01/23 - 01/31 2156 LV 42 19 Clinton +23.0

Most recent three Ohio political Polls have Clinton leading by an average of +18 points. Things are looking psoitive in Ohio. No time for complacency though.

24. Hillary was up 30-40% earlier in the year, and Obama is gaining ground fast
Yeah, considering the ass-kickings she's had since Super Tuesday, I'd be worried if I were her.

Then, again, the good people of Ohio put Bush in office for 8 years, so what the hell do their ignorant asses know?

Hillary is a bad candidate.

38. I think anyone here who was going to change their mind has had plenty of time to do so
I thinki she'll retain herlead because Hillary is an Awsome candidate and; furthermore, neither Ohio nor Texas like ultra-liberals. The Kennedy/Kerry endorsement will be a kiss of death in Ohio; furthermore, Hillary's moderate record and history of supporting national defense measures will be an asset here, not a detriment. We like moderate establishment types in Ohio.

she is a big fan of war as well. If that's what OH and TX Dems want, then that is what they should get.

43. Exaggerate much?
Clinton is a fan of a strong national defense. That's different than being a "big fan of war". GWB and JM are big fans of war, Hillary, on the other hand, will begin redploying within 60 days of assuming the role. Has BO made such a promise? furthermore, BO made it clear that he has no problem using the military option when discussing the Iranian issue with AIPAC members.

"the use of military force should not be taken off the table when dealing with Iran."
Barack Obama

"global leaders must do whatever it takes to stop Iran from enriching uranium and acquiring nuclear weapons"
Barack Obama

So basically, dems in Ohio can't get their shit together and vote for someone who is leading McCain in every poll right now. No wonder Ohio is one of the few states in the country that is actually LOSING population each year. I'd leave that hellhole too if I were in their shoes.

If Hillary comes here as the underdog, that will strengthen her appeal. And it looks like that will be happening!

11. LOL! I started reading this thread just when an interviewer on MSNBC
was asking a Chris Redfern from Ohio about a report that the Republican party spokesperson in Ohio had apparently said that the Rs were hoping for Hillary to win because they needed to mobilize their base and bring in more money. That said and an open primary might leave a Clinton victory there suspect as to its importance.

25. Actually, that poll was before the Potomac primaries
which means that his momentum could have continued.

I also wonder what all the Clinton talk of winning by superdelegates even if she merely comes close in pledged delegates. I grew up in a neighboring state and this completely violates a Midwestern sense of fair play - and fair play is a strong value in the Midwest. The idea that the wife of the last 2 term Democratic President with his political machine, that they tell us is one reason to vote for her should win the nomination after losing the pledged delegates is definitely UNFAIR.

42. Well I wish Hillary's numbers were a little higher
when the polls tighten and the campaigning really begins it will be noted that once again Hillary's comeback is stalled, Obama has the momentum and it will be a question if Hillary can "hang on" to win Ohio. She probably will but the decline in polls will shape the perception spin. It would have been better if they were tied and she moved up. If her numbers were even a little bit higher it would again heighten the trend that she is losing support not gaining.

23. I don't think anyone really knows how much anybody needs to win by any amount anywhere.
What is known is that a few good solid Hillary wins in large states will stop Obama and send this thing to the super delegates who will have to consider a new set of numbers that don't show Obama as the undeniable winner. Obviously, solid Hillary losses in the big states will have an opposite effect. the numbers posted are encouraging though. Ohio is saying NO to the BO MO.

35. Gulliani never won much of anything. Hillary has won her fair share of nice prizes in this
The candidates are basically tied and there are some 577 delegates up for grabs in states that seem to be favoring Hillary not to mention the Super delegates. I can appreciate your audacity of hope but, currently, reality is looking good to Hillary's camp.

41. Hillary hasn't won anything since Super Tuesday
and more than likely would have lost California if not for the voters that voted a full MONTH before their election. Given her huge advantage in name recognition, the fact that she's one of the many women fucking an ex-president, and the full support of the DLC, Hillary has run her campaign into the ground.
