Just so tired......worn out....Campaign has gotten to me...
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 07:02 PM by KoKo01
at this point I'm with David Swanson..."Wake me up on Halloween."

So hard to figure out which candidate will fix all that so many of us who've been here for so long see as wrong. So hard to figure out which candidate will hold the Bush/Cheney and the rest of them accountable for what they've done. Who will put a "collar" on the Think Tanks who manipulate us and who will hold those Wall Street Criminals...and Enterprise worse than the Mafia accountable.

So much is so wrong...yet I still don't see either candidate addressing this. It' more about an elusive "Health Care Initiative" and "Hope for Change" and "trust ME because I care about YOU."

I don't know. I read bad stuff about both candidates. I read good stuff about both candidates.

I'm ANGRY that MY CANDIDATES aren't RUNNING ANYMORE.

I have lost so much sleep and so much time out of my life defending the Clintons and Gore and Democrats and I went out there and got INVOLVED and managed to get to be a Precinct Vice-Chair and I worked for Kerry while donating to Kucinich in '04. I tried to work for "change" then... My heart and mind was with Kucinich...but I worked as Vice Chair for Kerry (had my packet and walked the neighborhood and tried to convince folks to vote for Kerry while my heart and half my puny donations were with Kucinich).

I gave to Kucinich and Edwards this time...I cut back on my Dem Party donations (I gave what I had to Howard Dean..because I believed in his 50 State Strategy as the HOPE for our Party.)

I'm tired. I don't really care who gets elected on the Dem side...I wanted Al Gore, then Kucinich, then Edwards. After that...I don't really care.. I'm getting out of my State Politics...because they don't need me this year. I've cut off my donations after Kucinich and Edwards and I'm just too tired and not enthused enough to scrape the piggy bank for the last two standing national candidates.

I'm glad the funding is coming in for Hillary and Obama. Good for them!!! But...I know they don't need my money...and I'm comfortable with that. What I can scrape up will go to the LOCAL (Act Blue) candidates who need it...and a few coins to Kucinich who is in great need because he pushed Cheney Impeachment and both Dems & Repugs don't like that. He's going to probably lose in Ohio. He will be punished like Max Cleland, Cynthia McKinney and others for speaking out.

It just makes me tired. I got involved. I didn't have BIG MONEY but I did what I could.

May the voters decide the best of the two. My Primary isn't until May 6th. It will be decided by then. I'm not sure that my vote is worth anything except in my local races. I might write in Kucinich, though. Just for principle...because it doesn't count...but makes me feel like I'm still trying.

Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" but ....I just think that the best person isn't running. And, that "best person" is polishing a Nobel Peace Prize somewhere.

I hope that all of you with GREAT ENERGY...DO get the best one to win. But, I just can't decide.....because..with what I know that's coming after Bush Plane heads back to Crawford..and he waves and he BOARDS he yells: "SEE YA LATER SUCKERS!" that there are going to be DARK DAYS AHEAD...

I hope with my heart that there will be those in Power who can deal with what BUSH/CHENEY/GREENSPAN and the THINK TANKS and SPECIAL FOREIGN INTERESTS....leave behind..

Anyway...GOOD CAMPAIGNING TO THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW WHO YOU ARE FOR!

(I tried to not use "Full Caps" for emphasis...but my fingers were too tired to do "bold" and stuff...so I know folks won't read this because they hate "shouting." I just did it for emphasis..but I'm tired...and I know some jerk will say I'm "just lazy.")

1. Koko - It has been a rough ride for you...
I feel you.

I try to remember that the journey is more important than the destination, that each campaign I've contributed to has taken an important message to the people, and that the most important aspect of this election is getting people involved.

I am supporting Obama now (after having supported Kucinich, Draft Gore, and Edwards) -- and I think that it is far more important that this election activate citizens than that it put a specific person in the White House.

Take a rest... You deserve it!

:hi:

4. Do NOT despair. What you did worked. Look, for example, at all
the crooked GOPers who have been outed in the last two years. Just like Gore, Kerry won. I worked diligently in Ohio. The Bushistas stole it just like they stole Florida in '00 and '04. We won in '06 and we are going to win again in '08. Keep your chin up; you are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. i feel the same, it's not much of a choice.
I'm wary of both Obama and Clinton. I'm still debating what to do tomorrow ....
1) vote for either Obama or Clinton, but which is the lesser of two evils?
2) vote Edwards as a protest
3) write-in Gore as a protest
4) don't bother voting, what's the point?

i'm leaning towards option 4. I'll vote the Democratic ticket in November, but it's more of a vote against the Republicans.

So exhausting. I really hate politics, but am forced to pay attention to it because it directly impacts our everyday lives. It would be nice to ignore it all, wouldn't it? :(
