FYI: Michelle Obama on Larry King Live tonight ~
I'm not a fan of Larry King, but I am of Mrs. Obama.

And hello, DU, I took a break and missed most of you! :hi:

Oh, and, GOBAMA!

1. I liked her fine until she said that she wasn't sure if she'd support
Clinton in the GE if she gets to nomination. WTF? We're all working too hard for that kind of "I'm taking my ball and going home" crap. It really, really pissed me off. Maybe she'll recant that little piece of indecision.

4. I think the operative word was "work for"
the question was whether she would campaign for Hillary, not merely "support".

5. I hope no one says anything about Obama pimping out his wife.
That would be very, very wrong.

10. I think she is obnoxious
Barack Obama is deigning to run, according to her.
Err- no -he wants to be president, otherwise he wouldn't be running.

told a group gathered at a nursing home in Grinnell on Monday that “Barack is one of the smartest people you will ever encounter who will deign to enter this messy thing called politics.”

13. So watch her; you might change your opinion. And FWIW, he is
brilliant, and clean, and does want to make a difference despite the dirtiness of politics. I think that's a winning combo, and his wife is his wonderful, funny, smart partner.
Obnoxious? Not to me, but different strokes...

14. Here is the quote in context (why do you omit it?):
MICHELLE OBAMA: That one of the most important things that we need to know about the next President of the United States is, is he somebody that shares our values? Is he somebody that respects family? Is a good and decent person? So our view was that, if you can't run your own house, you certainly can't run the White House. So, so we've adjusted our schedules to make sure that our girls are first, so while he's traveling around, I do day trips. That means I get up in the morning, I get the girls ready, I get them off, I go and do trips, I'm home before bedtime. So the girls know that I was gone somewhere, but they don't care. They just know that I was at home to tuck them in at night, and it keeps them grounded, and, and children, the children in our country have to know that they come first. And our girls do and that's why we're doing this. We're in this race for not just our children, but all of our children.
