GOP will tear down Obama on...
his lack of experience, race, religion, his name, his youth, his iraq vote.. THEY WILL make stuff up and the media will cover it over and over again.. The media WILL support McCain.. Obama will get no air time. We will know longer see his speeches in the news. They did it to Edwards, they are doing to Hillary, next is Obama.. KERRY wanted to end the war in 2001 when he was running, and a lot of people wanted the war to end as well.. That didn't stop the GOP from using scare tactics to put doubt in people about Kerry..

1. Obama had no "Iraq vote"
Though he repeatedly claims he "got it right."

37. Agreed. Hillary has no advantage in this area, THAT'S for sure...
The Republicans want Hillary to win the nomination because they have so much in store to use against her. They are literally making "documentaries" about her, etc not to mention all the stuff they ALREADY have..

Obama will mean a lot of extra work for them, but they'll be pulling out all the stops as well, especially the "unfiltered" channels of spam and people who call into to talk radio and constantly repeat the most ridiculous things, but it gets out there...

36. Obama supporters seem to have a death wish
They would rather have Obama get the nomination and sink the Dem Party in GE than concede to Clinton, who is a safe bet.

14. Hillary wanted to "stay the course" in 2004
which is where the war confusion came from.

They will tear down anybody. That's why Obama is running a grassroots, bottom up, campaign. That's how he won Iowa, if you recall. When the people decide to make change, nothing can stop it.

none of this is even remotely new or unexpected. Shit on a stick we could run Mother Teresa and the fucking pukes would tear her down on something.
I really have no idea what your point is.

16. GOP will tear down Hillary......
her name; Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton, her agreement with McCain on Iraq, her agreement with McCain on Iran, the holes in her 35 years of experience compared to McCains, the failed health care proposal, her acceptance of lobbyists money and bringing "pork" to her state while McCain touts as being a reformer with results, her being a woman running off of her husband's record, her lack of experience where it counts; on national security issues. Clinton's secret dealings since leaving the white house; i.e., Clinton library and Clinton foundation.

There will be very little discussed about the issues with Clinton as the nominee, because:

I think people need to start thinking about if Obama faces the GOP and what will happen. If you think it's ugly now ......if he get's the nomination it will be EXTREMELY ugly.

Go ahead.......flame away.

28. The GOP will do this to anyone they're running against.
It's a given. But I think the country is so sick of the GOP that none but the die-hard conservatives will pay attention to their smear campaigns. At least, that's my hope.

30. Obama is running on HOPE to do better.. That is his platform, which is good but
What else does he got? He has little experience, no super achievements in congress, His race and name don't help him (sorry to say). All he has is his voice. GOP will knock him down easily..

34. My post wasn't meant to defend either Obama or Hillary.
My point was that the GOP will rip on either one. Barack is black and has a funny name. Hillary is female and is named Clinton(GOP HATES that name).

They both have plenty of weakness besides those obvious ones for the GOP to exploit. We have to get behind whoever wins the nomination and fight back against the GOP. Odds are in our favor.

I just wish some people weren't so hard headed about Obama. People need to look at both candidates and decide who is the best and that means looking beyond fancy rhetoric.

started several threads - probably while DU was having a spasm - & the mods combined them all. The OP is not spamming his own thread over & over again.
