Obama people, start emailing the superdelegates in your state.
We want to make sure that they know that they should vote in accordance with how the votes are cast by their constituents!

Flood them!

And yes, that includes Kerry and Kennedy. Given the fact that Obama got delegates in MA too, they may be able to split their superdelegate votes, however if not then let it be.

This election must be decided by the people, not the party elites!!!

3. Emails! Phone calls! Faxes!! Office visits! Party functions.
Politicians do respond to threats to their political longevity. You have to let them know in no uncertain terms that you expect them to support your candidate, and you will consider it a reason to support a primary opponent against them.

Politicians run to the path that is most likely to end up favorable to their own personal political career.

4. Where do you get a list of super-delegates in your state?
I've done some research on this and can't find the answer, if someone has a link to super-delegates would you post it? I'm in Texas, and the way things are going, looks like Texas might be a player.

Peace!

22. Thanks for the link, seems some of these supers have already
chosen a candidate. I thought the super-delegates voted in line with whomever wins the popular vote in their state, but according to my finding some in Texas have already decided. I haven't had a chance to vote yet, seems they're getting the cart before the horse in Texas.

Peace!

6. No, that is a bad idea. I read on Kos a couple of weeks ago
that they did NOT want supporters flooding superdelegates with calls, e-mails, etc.

7. Nope. I'm
just not into this. Perhaps at the end of the voting process, an argument can be made that all the SDs should go with the candidate who gets the most pledged delegates, but I don't like this. Besides there was a post up on kos a few days ago saying that Obama's campaign did not want people doing this.

12. How about not even saying who you support, but just letting them know that you are concerned about,,
the possibility of super delegates overriding the elected delegates.

15. Obama supporters only like THE RULES when THE RULES suit Obama. Aren't yout the same people who said
that Florida and Michigan shouldn't count because they didn't follow THE RULES?

19. Oh, so now Kerry and Kennedy can "split" their superdelegate votes?
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 02:36 PM by Tarc
Missourians should do the same? New Mexico? Obama gets 40% of the Californian SDs, Hillary gets 30% of South Carolina's, etc...?

:eyes:

The superdelegates are free to vote as they please. Siccing Team Obama at them to nip at their heels like a swarm of nattering mosquitoes is a crass, mob-rules tactic.

These are the rules of the game. Play by them or get out.

21. Great Idea - I have contacted the Obama SD's in Arizona
And told them they MUST SWITCH TO CLINTON - will of the people you know, since Hillary won Arizona.
