MSNBC: Bush has a lot more respect for Hillary than Obama; is more comfortable with her as President
Bush vs. Obama:

Perhaps lost in the news of Obama’s weekend victories and Solis Doyle stepping aside was President Bush’s broadside against Obama. “I certainly don't know what he believes in,” Bush told FOX’s Chris Wallace. “The only foreign policy thing I remember he said was he's going to attack Pakistan and embrace Ahmadinejad. I think I commented that in a press conference when I was asked about that.”

Whoa, Nelly. Obama spokesman Bill Burton fired back with this statement: “Of course President Bush would attack the one candidate in this race who opposed his disastrous war in Iraq from the start. But Barack Obama doesn't need any foreign policy advice from the architect of the worst foreign policy decision in a generation.”

Talking to folks who know Bush well say he just doesn't believe Obama's earned it; that he's worthy. He has a lot more respect for Clinton and apparently would be more comfortable seeing her or McCain as his heir than Obama.

thinks? The guy keeps intejecting himself into our election process.

Bush doesn't think Obama's earned it. This coming from the guy who pretty much never earned a damned thing in his life. If it wasn't for Poppy, he'd be pumping gas in a Shell station in Connecticut somewhere.

Legacy guy needs to shut the f*ck up.

9. Is Bush trying to take votes away from Clinton or something?
I mean, I wouldn't think that Bush finding a Democratic candidate a worthy heir to his presidency would be particularly helpful to that candidate.

19. Off topic: Did anyone notice the Drudge-like picture of Hillary that MSNBC is using?
Before I left this morning, they were promoting their upcoming political shows and they were flashing big pictures of Hillary and Obama. The one of Hillary was a horrible picture, a close-up in black and white that highlighted wrinkles that don't even exist.

MSNBC just won't quit, will they.

He would much rather McCain run against Hillary, for one thing, and he knows that he is on safer ground with a Clinton in the WH for the 2nd. It's the one "endorsement" neither of our candidates should want.

I have no doubts that a Clinton Presidency would be his preference. But he has to know that this comment would only help Barack. Seems his most prudent course of action would be to stay out of the race or even promote Obama. But, maybe he's just as stupid as he's proven over the years.

58. Which might be why Bush is coming out for her...
George may not know we hate him but his people know it all too well... They know Bush is a pariah and would be foolish not to use this to their political advantage. They, with their proxies in the media, have been shaping this battlefield from day one and have been using this primary season as political cover... riding out the remaining days of Bush's term. I have not made up my mind on which Democrat I plan on voting for but I caution those who see any weight in Bush's preferences.
