Poll question: DU Voters: Are You Voting FOR Kerry or AGAINST b*sh?
This is not flamebait, and to ensure it does not become such, I will not reply to any posts on this thread.

I am not asking this question to intimate anything about Kerry. The intent of this poll is only to gauge where DUers stand.

(Disclosure: I do not like or trust Kerry. However, at this point in time I plan to cast a vote against b*sh by voting for Kerry.)

5. Right now, to be honest
Against the Shrub but I have 8 months to warm up to Kerry. I do like some of Kerry's issues but don't think on the issues he's the best to go up against shrub. With the people and their votes, I do think Kerry is the best candidate. At least it seems that way now.

17. For Kerry or Against Bush
Not me.

I wanted either Dean or Edwards.

I trust Bush - believe it or not - more than I trust Kerry.
I can trust Bush to be a total Idiot.

When I saw Kerry on C-Span2 on Assault Weapons Debate, he came across like a Dictatorial Nincompoop who couldn’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

Who to vote for?
The Grunt baby killer vs. the AWOL flyboy.
I may stay home on November 2.

32. Yankee Fan
Don't allow a "total Idiot" (who has already attacked your city and killed 1000s of your fellow Yankee fans) to retain his stolen office by you staying home. Every vote counts.

Bush and Kerry are frat bros, progressives can hope for little to no progress under such a president; but wasn't even Clinton preferable to Bush?

I encourage you to go vote - even Yankee fans can be represented in this great American experiment. (How open-minded is that? :-) )

33. One Problem with that Theory:
It was a Clinton Supreme Court that decided that Bush won.
Clinton picked the new judges; neither Bush did.

By the way;
Are you saying that the Best Democrat of the 20th Century – FDR – ordered the attack on Pearl Harbor?

Sometimes you have to give the Devil his due.
I don’t believe Bush had anything to do with 9-11. And I think anybody who thinks he does overestimates his mental horsepower.

The worst part about conspiracies is you can never really satisfy the most fanatical completely. I’m waiting for somebody to say that an alien from Area 51 shot JFK. As tabloids have published Many, many, many “Photos”, of JFK living here and there and everywhere except the Twin Towers (and I have no doubt somebody will come forth with a Conspiracy Theory that JFK Was living secretly in one the Towers, and that the Republicans ordered the airliners crashed into them to make sure once and for all), at one point you just have to say “Stop! What you are saying is pure, unadulterated BS!”

By the way, on that November Day in 1963, I was in attendance in the 3rd grade in PS 74 in the Bronx. So much for any Conspiracy Theory about me shooting him that day. Don’t ask me what my Teachers name was, I’ve long forgotten. Does my forgetting my Teachers name from 41 years ago make me a Republican?

Is there Any truth to the Rumor that the Titanic really struck a UFO disguised as an iceberg?

Clinton nominated 2 (Breyer, Ginsburg) of these 9 when I'm right.
2 from Bush,2 Reagan,2 Nixon and 1 Ford when my informations were right.

In addition to that laughable claim, the 2 who were nominated by Clinton were among the 4 against 5 minority.

It will never be "A". It could be "B" with a reasonable VP choice and a disavowal of the PNAC/PPI agenda.

15. I am voting FOR Kerry.
Edited on Wed Mar-10-04 07:19 PM by crunchyfrog
I am still dealing with my feelings of grief and dissappointment that Clark didn't get the nomination, but for some time now, Kerry has been my second choice. I know that if I hadn't fallen in love with a different candidate (something I almost never do), I would have seen much sooner how wonderful Kerry actually is.

He would be by far the most liberal president ever elected in my lifetime. I'm beginning to understand that he has done some really outstanding and courageous things as Senator. He will actually probably be the first Democrat that I have ever really voted FOR, as opposed to simply voting against the Republican.

I think he will be an outstanding president, and I will be voting FOR him.

26. My position on this will change if
he picks either McCain, or an extremely conservative Dem as his running mate. Then I will have a greatly lowered opinion of Kerry and it will be back to voting for the lesser of two evils.

I sincerely hope that the rumors are not true, I really would like to vote for someone.

21. If you had asked me a month ago
I would have said "against Bush" in a heartbeat.

But I've calmed down. Kerry was always my second choice.

So, now I'm in the "for Kerry" camp.

34. You Got a Point
If McCain switches Party and becomes a Genuine Democrat, and runs as VP with Kerry as Pres, I may vote for Kerry come November.
Otherwise I’ll vote for everybody listed Except for Kerry. I’ll be leaving that area blank. I just don’t trust him.

Anyone who voted for the "Patriot Act" which destroyed the Bill of Rights does not deserve the vote of any American, however, I understand that I have almost always been voting for the lesser of two evils. Alas, here we go again.

30. For Kerry
I always like Kerry but I just did not think for awhile he had a chance to win.

I was torn when the early poll numbers showed him so far behind between Clark and Dean.

But the man has a solid liberal voting record.

The man fought for his country but still had the bravery to fight against the war when he got back.

He made the hard choice to serve his country in the legislature.

I just do not get all the bile and disgust over the man.

By the way, I guess I am back. Got out of here for awhile feeling that the primary noise on the site between Clark and Dean fans were a real turn-off.
