Hard to get enthusiastic about actively campaigning for Kerry?
Many feel lukewarm about his positions but will still be voting for him.

**JUST KEEP PLUGGING AWAY AT BUSH! writing letters to the editor, educating people about his lies. Talking about jobs, deficits etc. etc. We all can play a part. Keep up the pressure, the tide is turning on the "worst president ever."

Four more years of bushit and a wingnut USSC for the next 30 years. :scared:

2. Great Idea!
The more people know about Bush the less appealing he seems, even those Naderites can help!

3. Lukewarm on his positions?
Just one or two vs. 30 years of solid progressive stances, right?

6. I would be 100% behind anyone that gets the nomination...I live in
fear of bush getting a 2nd term. We will not have a dem party if this happens...it will be a one party country. When I say live in fear I mean fear that I have never felt. We must at all cost take this country back or there will be none to take back.

7. It's true
I'm one who thinks that Kerry is a real liberal in the best tradition and has a lot of the tools to be a great president, but hell, even if you don't think that, everyone knows that this election is a referendum on Bush. If he loses badly, that's a blow to all the RW agenda. Remember this - Carter got his ass handed to him by Reagan and we've never come back from the rightward turn the country took at that time. A crushing defeat for the shrub could have just the effect we're looking for.

9. Not to worry.
If you're not enthusiastic now, give it time. I'll bet you'll be fired up come the convention.

10. Some of you totally missed the reason for my post

It was not at all an attack on Kerry, but
a message to those who aren't as enthusiastic about him as some of you are. If you don't think there are people who are not completely thrilled with some of his positions then you haven't been paying attention. There are people who still have a problem with his Iraq vote and subsequent statements yet have no problem telling you they will be there to cast their vote for him in November.

Believe it or not, not everyone feels ready to hit the pavement full speed to be a salesman for Kerry. I am one of those people. What I offered was a suggestion, a way to support Kerry by undermining and weakening Bush. Call us the attack troops if you wish.
There was a poll here today where about 3/4 of the participants said they would be voting AGAINST Bush. If some want to ignore that, what can I say?

I merely would like to suggest that people can channel their energies where their passions are. And you know there are people who passionately want to expose Bush for what he is. In that sense we can all be doing our bit to give AWOL the pink slip. This post is addressed to people who have been struggling with Kerry as a nominee, plan to vote for him, but aren't comfortable yet trying to sell him. In my particular circle there are many highly motivated peace activists, some motivated to the point where they have willingly risked arrest trying to prevent the Iraq invasion. Most are still very uneasy about Kerry's war vote and support. These are the people I see all the time and this is where this idea comes from. Believe me, people do want to do their part.

11. Elections with an incumbant focus on the incumbant, usually.
Nonetheless, I have faith that a President Kerry will be a good and honorable president.
