...Like many others who came out to listen to Kerry on this campaign stop, McNamara plans to vote for Kerry, but only by default.

"But he hasn't won my heart and mind," McNamara said.

The banner "Florida is Kerry Country" hung as an optimistic backdrop to the rally. But my eyes kept drifting to the marquee of the Cuillo Centre for the Arts, which faced the makeshift stage, and advertised the name of the upcoming theatrical production.

"Out of Gas," it said.

OK, whose idea was it to put John Kerry in front of a marquee that said "Out of Gas"? ...

7. If you look at primary exit polls, Kerry never HAD "gas".

Even when it was down to just Kerry and Edwards, people still said that they voted Edwards because they liked his ideas and Kerry because they thought he couild beat Bush.

That's what's meant when people say that Kerry's support is "a mile wide and an inch deep". I think he'll beat Bush and he has my vote in November, but he really doesn't inspire many of us.
