A while ago, McCain beat both Obama and Clinton in match-up polls. What happened?

Give up? Okay, I'll tell ya what happened. This supposedly "divisive" campaign really got going in the past month or so. Democrats go charging around the country rallying as many voters as they can get in state after state. Because it's all so close, the fight for the nomination continues and they go to states that we normally don't campaign in during the Spring and start convincing more and more new voters to get involved with their democracy.

Some of these states are also places where not much Democratic campaigning happens in the fall either.

The heat and light from this year's campaigns is spreading wider than in years past. We have this close contest and battallions of enthusiastic supporters to thank for this. Before you go wailing and teeth-gnashing over how bad things are, keep in mind that current polling shows that all this Democratic enthusiasm is a strong plus for our ticket, no matter who we nominate.
