Obama With Big Lead In Virginia

Compiled from InsiderAdvantage and Southern Political Report staff

February 8, 2008 — InsiderAdvantage, the only national firm to accurately indicate the surge of Mike Huckabee in Southern states on “Super Tuesday,” polled Virginia Democrats for the Southern Political Report, whose coverage includes that state.

The poll of 501 likely voters in next week’s Virginia primary was conducted February 7 and was weighted for age, race, gender, and political affiliation. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.

The results:
Obama: 52%
Clinton: 37%
Other: 1%
Undecided: 10%

In the survey Obama led among African-American voters, while Clinton and Obama were evenly splitting the white vote in the survey.

3. Looks to me like Clinton is on a surge - and should make this a 50/50 race
by the 12th.

Between her current fund-raising advantage and all her new supporters (75,000 contributed since Feb. 5) Obama has to be nervous.

15 points is nothing in 8 days for the Comback Kid part 2.

21. LMFAO
When yer in a motor boat, and put it full throttle in reverse, water tends to surge over the stern, and flood the boat. I assume it's this sort of "surge" you have in mind for Hillary :)

10. The Amaxing thing in the SUSA poll is that there are very few undecided voters
He is up less than I would have though around DC where I live, but he is WAAAAY WAAAAAY ahead in Richmond/Central area and In the Nofolk/SE are of the state. Bodes very well for the delegate race.

11. Wow, I wonder if Tim Kaine's support is helping him?
but he's been polling here very well for a while. I read yesterday where Mark Warner is staying neutral but his wife Susan endorsed Obama.

There's 4 more days of righteous Clinton indignation between now and then.
